There was many games before with large amount of players, games which actually died, lots of examples. In those games you could buy virtual stuff by investing your money for your in-game character. Games with race cars, where i had large stock of purchased cars, which i bought for real money. Game dies when game developers deliberately killng it by switching off official servers permanently, with CS this won't happen ever you can be confident with this statement. Stop worrying about it, it's not going to happen at least in nearest future.
