This game has the most convoluted boss fights. there isn't any skill involved it is purely RNG-based if the mechanic actually works as intended after trying to complete Master of the Zone for the last 4 hours of my playtime as of this comment which is 200 ish total. Bosses mechanics that work one time don't work the next. Or a mechanic that wasn't an instant kill is now suddenly an insta-kill. You can flash the master of the zone sure.. but then the next 3 times you hit him with a flash bang it does nothing and he ignores it. Go to a core boss mechanic? Guess what that's RNG if it works as well. At 50% you're supposed to get him under the coils and shoot the coils. Well of the 8 times I've gotten him under the coils only once did it actually do the mechanic it was supposed to, every other time it has failed to do so. Had issues with stunning him after he launched one grenade only to have all 6 of the ones he normally shoots be there while he was stunned. Or the boss just blatantly ignores the fact that he is stunned and still continuing to shoot while stunned. Almost every boss has been complete ♥♥♥♥ to fight, they are not fun to do in the slightest, with the same repeat issue of mechanics working one round and not the next or clear blatant contradictions to the normal fight mechanics of previous runs.

This could be a good game but the devs choose to make it ass or are completely incompetent/lazy on mob designs, the beginning zones are a complete dumpster fire with every mob in 100m of you agro-ing to you even if you are just running through the zone. Turn around and every mutt, skitter, ghoul, and boar is chasing you. The mobs will just chase you forever until you leave the instance for another zone or safe area. They don't have any leashes at all. Except in the north after you already completed 50 ish percent of the story questline. Mobs have zones and even when in the zone they don’t attach you unless you are right beside them. This makes me think that the devs are the latter incompetent AND lazy. The only mobs in the north that don't have leashes are the ghouls and any mob that is part of a heater event.

Trying to do a heater event during this winter event which requires you to defend a heater from some mobs can be one of the most frustrating things in the game, anyone who runs past can pull the mobs from it and they will chase them to the other end of the zone. Or until the player they were chasing dies and in that case, they just hang out there until the winter storm is over and your heater mission is ruined you get no rewards and the event is bugged out and can't be restarted. So you go to do another one and have the same thing happen.

The game does not have proper matchmaking. Get anything to +12 or higher and your lobbies are constantly filled with sweat players that actively try and ruin any type of grinding you're doing besides outpost. And if you +15 anything you get completely ♥♥♥♥♥♥ with everyone else having full all +15 weapons and armor and the best artifact builds. Even if you only got one thing to +15. The gear score that should be used for matchmaking is completely irrelevant, I can put on my +13 worn beast slayer, +13 G3A1, and hive container all of which all are veteran rank with the hive being master ranked (highest rank that is craftable with out special blueprints). And have a GS of 542. But if I switch out the G3 for a M1014 +5 (stalker rank shotgun) it goes to 1139. (newbie -> stalker -> veteran -> master) How does that make any sense at all?

So save yourself the trouble and wait until the Devs fix the basic mechanics of a MMO or until they completely overhaul the core systems to where they would actually make some since.
