Splitgate is an extremely well made game with active developers who listen to their community. Essentially it has all the workings to be one of the top games in the world. The concept is enjoyable, the gun play makes sense, and overall it can be fun to mess around.

However, if you're competitive at all (like myself) and you come from a background of traditional, precise aim shooters, you're going to HATE your time playing Splitgate if you try to be competitive at all. This game is essentially made for console players. In public matches everyone gets a spray weapon that is usually a power weapon and you'll get mowed down by the soft aimbot controller players have. If you're used to low sensitivity, you won't make it in this game. In order to portal effectively you need to be able to whip around consistently.

I really wanted to like Splitgate. But unfortunately, its just not the game for me.

The Witcher series has proved to be my favorite game series of all time. The world is vast, meticulously planned out, and every decision you make matters. The characters are amazing, the story is fantastic, and the gameplay is some of the best ever. Even years later, it still stands the test of time. I would highly recommend this game to ANYONE, not even those who favor RPGs.

Arguably the best free-to-play FPS ever created and I've played a lot of them (Combat Arms, Soldier Front 2, Alliance of Valiant Arms, etc). The gameplay is very smooth, their is definitely a skill gap which allows for high level gameplay but some players who are new to FPS games may find it frustrating. The competitive scene died within a month or two of release due to the lack of support from game developers though. If you're looking to compete, look elsewhere. If you're looking for a solid free game to play with your friends, this is the game for you.
