OG Space MMO Game! Been around for more than 22 years and still going strong!

I played it on & off since 2004, I'm mostly just a filthy casual never got into it as hardcore as some others but this game is definitely bit of a vibe and fun to come back to now and then. Holds a lot of nostalgia for me but also always has something new to discover, there is a reason why this game is still alive. If anyone is worried that its a bit late to get into a game like this don't be, they made it a lot easier for newer players vs how it used to be, so you will be fine, give it a go!

This game is WAY better than most people expected, read reviews by regular people and don't look at western "official critics" like IGN etc... those people got their head up their ass and they have zero clue. They lost touch with reality in the last 5+ years and you will often find them giving high score to really bad games and low score to actually good games, specially when its "Made in China" where they been killing it lately and making some good stuff, and none of that forced "DEI Slop" that many western devs keep pumping out these days.

Anyway, give "Where Winds Meet" a go, its fun and free.

Early Access Review
One of the best AARPG's!!!

I got the paid early access for free as a gift from a friend so been playing since day 1, and I have to say its pretty awesome specially considering its still unfinished and work in progress. The game engine is great, runs very smooth on my laptop and looks good too, occasionally there is some stuttering but its rare. Gameplay is enjoyable but much slower pace than PoE1, and imo the game is a lot easier than PoE1 I don't know what some people are complaining about. Everything is explained a lot better, the skill tree is easier and more straight forward, gems are easier to setup and experiment with, there is less currency and game mechanics compared to PoE1 (which has a decade of content from all the season updates) which is fair enough, so overall its a much easier game to get into and progress without the need of any guides.

Main issue: Melee sucks for now (still work in progress), go with ranged, any ranged. And I'm not a fan of all mobs re-spawning if you die and re-spawn at a checkpoint, gets annoying on large maps specially if you died far away from checkpoint, you have to clear everything again.

Suggestions if you struggling: Experiment with crafting gear as much as possible (There is less loot dropping than PoE1 so you have to put in more effort into crafting which is great imo), check vendors more often, always try upgrade you gear when you get the chance, if you have some "exalts" and don't want to risk them on crafting go to trading website and use them to buy something from other people.

Yeah "but can it run Crysis?" is one of the OG memes from way back in the day, this game was like the ultimate benchmark for computers at the time, if yours could run it then it was worthy if not then wtf are you even doing, might as well just throw it away...

The GOAT!

2004 was a golden year for gaming, with legendary titles like Far Cry, GTA San Andreas, NFS Underground 2, Halo 2, Doom 3, UT2004, WoW, Silent Hill: The Room, and Painkiller, just to name a few. It was also the year I built my first gaming computer with my own money, finally retiring the family computer from the late '90s. From a personal standpoint, it was a time of great memories as everything was improving rapidly in the tech world, making it almost hard to keep up but it was exciting at same time. The upgrade to cable internet was a game-changer, bidding farewell to the sluggish ADSL 128 kbps. It made loading heavily customised MySpace profile pages of local goths and emos a much smoother experience 🤣🤣🤣, and of course, online gaming finally became possible without always having to go to a local internet cafe in the city with friends or throw LAN parties. Though now that I think about it, that was the peak of video games when we still did all those things.

Half-Life 2 is one of the few games I ever pre-ordered. For those too young or not yet born, it's hard to grasp just how monumental this game was at the time. It influenced the entire industry and featured a revolutionary game engine with advanced physics that still outshines some modern releases.

This game is a must-have for anyone using Steam. It was also the first game that required Steam to play, which led to the creation of my Steam account on the same day as HL2's release. At the time, it frustrated many because it marked a shift from the era of simply buying a CD, installing it, and playing offline unless you wanted multiplayer. HL2 was the first game in my experience that required logging into Steam and staying online even for single-player. However, it also introduced cool features like auto-updates and cloud storage etc... proving they were ahead of the curve 20 years ago.

The game was briefly free for its 20th anniversary but its cheap anyway at full price or like few bucks during specials, if you don't have it just buy it...

Halo games are one of the OG fps games that Millennials grew up with. Used to be Xbox exclusive but now we can have the full collection on Steam, definitely a must have. Runs well, haven't had any issues yet.

So far most remakes and sequels to the OG classic games have been fairly disappointing specially in the RTS genre, this genre haven't had anything good for very long time, so I wasn't expecting much from AoE4. To my surprise though I think they nailed it, they kept all the good stuff from AoE2 and introduced some interesting new mechanics with very unique differences between nations, decent graphics, single player campaign that teaches you history etc... basically a full package.

Unlike War Thunder way more pay to win for some reason, which is very disappointing. UI needs work as well, otherwise are pretty solid mixed warfare fps.

Haven't bought this game just gave it a quick try over free-weekend they were doing. Overall first impression is not bad, had bit of fun with friends and few randoms, but most of the time you just gonna find yourself walking....walking.... then being shot and insta killed from unknown location, but there will also be times when you the one doing that to others lol. Graphics is nice, though its really hard to spot enemies far away, might need to play around with the settings to get it just right. I do recommend it to anyone that's into these type of games, like Squad etc...
