Poise, it's gone. No it doesn't make the game more skillful. You could roll in DS1 but you couldn't roll and have 70% equip load like you can in this game. Less options, less variety. It's fun, it's better than DS2, but that's not hard. But do not BUY!

If you're looking for a Skyrim style RPG that lets you do whatever you want, this is not the game for you. This is an RPG game that is heavily story driven. That being said, I didn't like it, while it tried to be story driven, it made you do a bunch of repetetive quests that felt unneccesary and boring. The combat doesn't feel "realistic" or smooth. It feels slow and unresponsive.
