As someone who has never been especially interested in Norse mythology or Viking culture, the theme of this game did nothing to attract me. Based on its stellar reviews, however, along with its frequent 50% off pricing, I decided to dip in.

This is one of those special games that's going to stick with me as a fond memory long after I've finished playing it (which, after 238 hours to this point, doesn't appear to be soon!). The mechanics and progression are so tightly implemented that they reach that perfect balance of Rage -> Motivation -> Triumph, before you move onto a new biome and start the loop over again.

Unpolished, super short, predictable jump scares. Might be worth a look if you can get it at the >$3 sale price.

The Fascist-Beating simulator we really needed in 2025.

Outstanding Indy game; so glad the license wasn't wasted on EA.

I just had so much fun in a virtual arcade I forgot I wasn't actually wasting my money!

WOW. I've never heard of this studio, but they know how to build a world!

I haven't been this immersed in a game in a long time. It reminded me a lot of Alan Wake (which happens to be among my favorite games) with its surreal story and haunting settings.

Well paced, great puzzles that are not overly difficult and a compelling story that had me reading every document I found because I wanted to learn everything I could about the world I was in.

Super impressed and would love to see a sequel.

Scummy mandatory Epic Account integration after selling the game at full price on Steam. I bought it on Steam to play it through Steam. ♥♥♥♥ Epic.

I'd call it a Walking Simulator, but that would require you being able to walk for more than 30 seconds without the game grabbing control of your character for a flashback or underwhelming jump scare.

It's okay though, the nondescript, seemingly endless caves don't seem worth the mileage.
