not allowed to change settings at all because "full settings unlock in the open world" and had to quit and uninstall before even finishing the opening sequence. not allowing for accessibility, control, graphics, or audio settings to be changed until you complete the entire opening including a boss fight is just unacceptable and there is not a single reason to do it.

I do not understand the hype around this game. The netcode feels extremely outdated and makes not just the pvp but even pve unplayable regardless of your ping. The PVP mode has unlockable weapons and modifications that give people who play more a clear cut advantage rather than a level playing field. the rogue lite mode feels half baked and can be completed in less than an hour on your first try(and you will see all the upgrades/abilities available in the game within 3 playthroughs). The game defaults to queuing all servers which means 1 or 2 people in every pvp lobby will have over 150 ping(however the netcode is bad enough that playing with 25 ping feels unresponsive and will still end up with trade kills and delayed deaths after breaking line of sight). Unless the multiplayer netcode and matchmaking system is rebuilt from the ground up when it leaves early access I don't see any reason to play this game

the game has certainly been "questified" in order to make it quest compatible, but even if the textures and graphics might not hold up that also means it runs great on almost any hardware. The gameplay foundation is solid enough with mechanics that have enough skill ceiling and depth they make up for the lack of graphics in spades.

This used to be complete asset flip garbage, but at least it was still a game. now he has completely removed the game part of it by taking out the ability for enemies to damage you and removing the skill/spell system from the game, calling it a "true survival horror game", what a joke. This shouldn't even be allowed on the steam store. and this is coming from a speedrunner of X-17, which is another scam he has up. I like broken games but this is no longer a game, and doesn't even match the terrible marketing material that somehow got through greenlight.

definitely one of the harder games to start with in the mechwarrior series(due to its unrelenting PVP nature) it's still a whole lot of fun for anyone that likes PVP mech combat.

i can no longer play elite dangerous in vr because of the horrible performance

EDIT: even after this long of odyssey being released the performance has gotten better but is NOWHERE near what it should be and even though my system can handle VR high in horizons I get massive stuttering even in empty space when playing odyssey on VR low. I still can't play any of the ground conflict zones without huge stuttering and freezing and locking up especially in the dark, the performance is UNACCEPTABLE and the system requirements are not even CLOSE to the required system you'd need to enjoy basic features of this expansion.

This game has truly come a long way from when it started. I used to have a negative review but I've come back to change it as most of the bugs and issues that completely prevented me from enjoying the game have been fixed. The arena mode is where i've spent most of my time and i also have a number of hours in the oculus quest version. With the coming story mode and the new online play this is genuinely a game to keep your eye on.

I can't believe they thought it was acceptable to release this without cooperative gameplay and charge full price. Not to mention every gun is held like a pistol and there's no 2 handed weapon holding available. What a tragedy of something that could have been good, didn't even play a full hour. Oh also the crosshair and UI were not aligned at all with where the gun was pointing.

well polished game, exactly what it says on the box. Continued support and new content from developers. The DLC is all cosmetic and the game is not pay-to-win.
