So I'll start by saying I know 2 hours is not a very sufficient amount of time to review a game like this. However I like to keep most of my reviews to first impressions within the steam refund period. So is this game worth keeping beyond the first 2 hours? If you enjoy the feeling of classic real time strategy games such as the original Starcraft then I would say so. Even in my limited amount of time playing it I can say that the game does have a certain classic feel to it so that it feels familiar but also has enough of its own flair to not feel like I've already played it before. Overall it's a solidly built RTS game that I can certainly recommend getting while on sale or as part of a bundle. It's certainly not perfect but I would give it a decent 7/10.

Mordhau is a very well done and mechanically deep medieval combat simulator. The combat itself lends itself to a very high skill ceiling with it's various mechanics such as parrying, chambering, and feinting. Weapons feel appropriately weighty and landing hits on your opponents is incredibly satisfying. There are plenty of premade characters with various weapons and armor to play as to suit most combat fantasies. The custom character options are vast with dozens and dozens of options for weapons, armor, perks, and cosmetics. While I will recommend this game, I will say that the vast majority of players currently do play very well and have been playing for a long time so being a new player can be a little bit of a struggle.

I fell in love with this game on my first run and it's only gotten better the more I've played. The music, the sounds, and the art all wonderfully blend together into a game with enormous character to it. With unique mechanics such as the stomp, it sets itself apart from other games in it's category without feeling too foreign. The game is challenging while also supporting all skill levels with a slew of difficulty options. This game has been an absolute joy so far and I can't wait to see how it continues to grow.

Let me start out by saying that I do not think this is an objectively bad game. It's has a lot of cool ideas and mechanics. However there are a few big issues that really make it hard for me to recommend to anyone. I enjoy the setting and the overall concept for the game. The base management, character skill trees and inventory management, and unique character skills are all done fairly well while not super complex. My biggest issue with the game has to be the cover system. There are so many areas where it would make sense to be able to use as cover in combat yet you can't. Doorways, wall breaches, and even some corners of buildings are not counted as cover in combat. The games pickiness in what it allows you to use as cover limits your tactical options and is very frustrating. I really want to like this game but that alone is enough to kill it for me.

A wonderfully charming, albeit dark, card-based rougelike. While you can feasibly "complete" it within a few hours, with multiple paths, difficulty options, and hundreds of items to unlock, there's hours and hours of game to enjoy.
