Even later in life as I moved on in my life and he did with his, we would still catch up and update each other on life and for a while it was really good.

Like others here, I tried to help him with his struggles with alcohol and drugs but I know this is something that he has battled for a long time from a young age and it was not easy for him.

Im really glad you were my friend and Im sorry I wasn't there at the end for you, I will be praying for you tonight. I will always cherish my memories of us together, and I hope you are in a better place.

On a serious note, I planned to look at your profile after not hearing from you for so long, hoping the worst isn't true, I'm now devastated to see one of my oldest friends is no longer with us. Simon, I remember when I first met you on CSS and I can visualize it in my mind the game we were playing and I was messing around on the mic as a 13 year old back in 2010 and you engaged with me and the rest was history. We chatted almost every day for years about literally everything. One of my favorite memories was when Simon coached me to get good into prop killing on DarkRP in gmod. He apparently met one of the top prop killers and arranged for us to meet and I got really good and then we went just decimating people on the top servers and it was so f***ing funny.

I know I'm not on Steam anymore but Simon who I called Sven (in my opinion the most Swedish name) and I would chat for hours. And I mean hours. I would stop playing COD and Sven would stop playing Garry's Mod (which he tried getting me to like but I never got the point of the game). We would have these long conversations. Find common interests. Laugh at jokes. Talked about our jobs. Sven was actually one of the first person I befriended on Steam. And that friendship just grew. I had plans on flying out to Sweden but I guess that won't happen anymore. Our last hours-long-chat was late 2023. I know he was struggling but he was making process in his recovery.

My brother Sven, I'm so sorry I wasn't there for you. I pray you can forgive me as you are looking down upon me. Upon all of your friends in real life and here on Steam.
