Silksong is the proof that video games are a work of art.

As gamers, many of us have certain titles that come to mind when we think about those adventures that have left a mark on our hearts and souls. Silksong is, undoubtedly, one of those games for me. Since the return to normality after the pandemic, and due to personal issues I'd prefer not to discuss, I've had a lot of trouble enjoying this hobby as I used to. Personally, I feel like the worlds recently presented and the plots that try to envelop you don't resonate with me as they once did. Thanks to Silksong, for the first time in years, I've felt that joy, attraction, and passion for video games—all those sensations which I feared I'd never experience again.

Its narrative, dark yet hopeful, seasoned with the enigmatic universe that Hollow Knight previously introduced, has completely captivated me. Its music and art style have managed to amaze and fascinate me, compelling me to stop on numerous occasions in order to savor them. Its gameplay, in terms of movement, combat styles and equipment customization, is an extremely polished version of the concept that Team Cherry presented in their first release, which catapulted the Australian developer to fame.

The game is brimming with moments and details I can't describe, as it would be awful to deprive someone of experiencing them with the same intensity and wonder I did. And all of this is available at one of the most ridiculously affordable prices the industry has seen in recent years, with free updates announced.

After all this incredibly long-winded explanation, the bottom line is that I consider Silksong a gift to all of us who love video games, conceived by amazing artists who share that same love. I've recommended many games to countless people, but I doubt I've ever done so with as much conviction as on this occasion.

Try it, give it a chance to show you all the wonders it has to offer, and I'm sure Pharloom will change you the same way it changed me, then you'll appreciate the gem that Silksong truly is.
