Monster Hunter Wilds has everything to be an amazing game — beautiful visuals, engaging gameplay, and a rich world. Unfortunately, it’s held back by serious performance issues. Poor optimization makes it hard to enjoy without relying on upscalers or frame generation, which shouldn’t be necessary on high-end hardware. As it stands, I can’t recommend it. Hopefully Capcom addresses these issues soon, because right now, the technical shortcomings undermine an otherwise great experience.
