An absolute blast-- a technical, difficult strategy game. Can't wait for the multiplayer patch!

Glorious, open, deep. My only real advice is to keep a running list of places you know about, and what you need to do or bring to each place. It'll make it much more enjoyable.

I'm currently a Vampire Bear, wearing a "Top Bear" hat, lens-less glasses, a fake mustache, and a smoking pipe. The smoke is just an effect. Be a healthy bear and don't smoke.

I don't know how to upsell Bear Simulator better than that-- it looks solid for a one-man production, the humor is enough to make ME laugh, at least, and I've only run into a few bugs (mostly that you can get stuck jumping between rocks. Saving and exiting to main menu gets you out even if it's a bit annoying.)

It's a collecta-thon, without being constantly overtly wacky at every turn. The strangeness pops in at odd intervals, and is worth sticking around for. Go play Bear Simulator. Be a bear.
