I’ve just finished this demo, and I honestly loved it in so many ways. I’ll try to put everything into topics:

- Visuals and Audio:
The game has such a unique and beautiful art style — it’s truly a joy to look at. Everything feels like it belongs together, from the world itself to the characters that inhabit it. The visuals are stunning, and the backgrounds — whether it’s a city, a cave, or a forest — make the world feel even more alive and immersive.

The atmosphere feels cohesive and perfectly in tune with the story it’s trying to tell. There’s this constant sense of mystery and adventure, this feeling of not knowing what lies ahead, which makes the experience so refreshing and captivating.

I also loved the music — it fits every scene perfectly and adds so much to the atmosphere of each area. In some parts, I actually found myself just standing still, listening to the background track and soaking it all in, hahaha.

- Gameplay:
The controls are intuitive and easy to pick up right from the start. The progression feels well-paced and natural. I really appreciate that the game doesn’t bombard you with tutorials — you can enable them in the menu if you want, but it’s way more satisfying to figure things out on your own.

Learning how to defeat each enemy, experimenting, and dying multiple times (haha) makes every little victory feel rewarding — and when I say rewarding, I mean really REWARDING!!!

In the demo, we get to play as three different characters, each with their own distinct playstyle and personality. The game introduces them so naturally that you end up learning their roles, strengths, and weaknesses without even realizing it. Each character feels well thought out and complements the others in a way that makes every encounter more strategic and fun. They also have their own backgrounds, which I’m sure we’ll get to explore more deeply in the full release. I really enjoyed how the game encourages you to switch between them to solve puzzles and progress through the map — it keeps the gameplay dynamic, engaging, and consistently fresh.

- Story:
Even though this was just the demo, the ending left me genuinely curious to know more. I’m really intrigued by the world and its mysteries, and I can’t wait to see how the full story unfolds.

I’m really looking forward to the full release, and if you’re still on the fence about trying it, give the demo a shot — I’m sure you’ll love it, even if you’re not usually into strategy or puzzle games.

An incredible game from a newly developed studio. The game features a simple but thoughtful story. The gameplay is seamless, fast, and incredibly straightforward, but it's not easy and has a clear learning curve. The enemies are fun to face, and with each level, they develop unique spells and powers, which make the game even more enjoyable. The map could use some polishing, but for a newly released game, it adds potential, with diverse spots and various types of locations. In summary, I expect great potential from this game and the upcoming chapters, with new enemies, locations, and playable characters. But it's clear that Tears of Vanfell is headed in the right direction.
