There's bones of a good game here.

If they fix the desync, replication issues, and EA jank, it'll definitely be a good time.

I'm giving it a positive because when it hit on a good server, it just felt good to play.

For most people I'd say stay away until it gets some patches, if you find the above frustrating.
This is where a "Mixed" rating would be nice.

EZ recommend, basically PoE and BDO had a baby and this is the result. I've been waiting for this for literal years.

It's quite good as it stands.

Gunplay feels tight and good (missing switching shoulders, but that's fine in most situations)
Does what the Cycle wanted to with less "extra nonsense" on the side
There's lots of variation in regard to how you can fight and play around objectives

My only gripe is the Extraction mechanics.

While I want to praise them for the build up to a huge team brawl at the end, I can't really say I enjoy having to sit outside the ship if we're in first and a team has already set up inside.

Your choices are:
1. Stand outside and get absolutely hosed by the storm (should you be unlucky enough for it to decide to hover over the dropship
2. Pick a door they didnt access and hope they dont see you so you can jump whoever is weakened the most if other teams show up
3. Wait until the last 10 or so seconds to get inside and hope you dont die
4. Storm the ship and die during the brawl

I'd almost prefer the Cycle's "hit the ship and you're safely out" mechanic over what is essentially a last ditch game loss if you make any mistakes. Not to say it isn't fun, because it is, but there are a few dozen ways to do this that don't screw over clever players.

TL:DR, it's great, but there's some things that may annoy potential players.

After 2,000 hours I still have no idea what I'm doing
