Do I recommend this game? Nnnot right now. Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2 is a gigantic improvement over Xenoverse 1. The combo strings connect better, you can mix up strings with other strings and there are a ton more options for getting into melee. The blasts are diverse and interesting, so there is one for all occasions and the character interactions are much deeper than the game advertises, though they might not always activate. It answered the question of wanting to play for fashion rather than stats with QQ Bangs, which over-write your stats with better ones and allow you to wear what you like. It even has more sidequests to keep you occupied alongside the story quests and Parallel Quests.

Xenoverse 2 has those improvements and more, but it also has a lot of what was in Xenoverse 1, the poor lipsynching, re-used cutscenes and assets and a customisation system that has mild depth, but not enough to truly satisfy. If you played Xenoverse 1 to death like I did, you might find yourself burning out on XV2. So, I would recommend this at a price drop and maybe after a year or two has passed for them to iron out the bugs. If they iron out the bugs, that is. Bottom line is, Xenoverse 2 is Xenoverse 1 with a shiny new coat of paint and some doodads. It's definitely improved and it's definitely fun, but it's a little too like it's predecessor for it to be worth the whole asking price.
