This is how I remember the game looking in 2006.

As a lover of turn-based strategy and tabletop D&D I really don't see the appeal of this game. What is hyped and praised as a thrilling action-packed campaign in reality is a boring, horrible-paced slog with zero replayability and variation. After act one the quality drops off a cliff and just feels bloated.

It's all window-dressing, every choice eventually leads to the same outcome. No, really. Try and avoid Shadowheart at the start of the game, see how often they thrust her into your path before the game just gives up and drops her magical macguffin into your bag with zero explanation. Want to be evil? You'll still fight the same enemies and go to the same places just with less help.

The dice rolls outside of combat only feel like they exist to decide if you'll be inconvenienced or not, and these become worse on subsequent playthroughs when you know what you'll lose should you fail.

This game is a perfect example of why I don't listen to public opinion on what a good game is, as they'd rather insist that you SHOULD like it when in fact a lot of the time you might only like it because it's popular.

Shut up Randy.

This is how the game should have been on release. I really, really hope they decide to make a third entry now that interest in the series has returned, and please do it like this from the start EA.

It has potential, but it's really barebones right now. It surprised me just how much they're taking the phrase "early access" and running a marathon with it.

Probably one of the best shooters I've ever played. The story feels too real and I need a shower after digging deeper.

Fallout 76 but free, actually good and doesn't charge you a subscription for basic features. While the servers wipe every few weeks you keep everything except crafting resources and xp.

The recent update made this a must own. All of the official expansion packs included + brand new one. The only issue I find with this version is that the mouse aiming feels off now but you can always just play the WAD files in GZDoom.

Not the Payday 3 we wanted, but the Payday 3 we deserve.
