while it is a good remake/Re-imagining i cant help but notice they missed on alot design wise and threw away some of the most iconic things that made half-life what it is.

Pros

- an updated look at a world we all loved.
- new HD models for everything.
- looks pretty.
- Skins and Voice packs from the community help with the lack of good content.
- Amazing Music Score

Cons

- Animation screw ups (grunts hold MP5 weirdly, Barneys have issue drawing their weapons)

- Grunt Design Fails (No iconic ski-mask grunts, no green lenses for gas mask grunts, some grunts dont have gloves and just look silly, no HEV Vest or backpacks for grunts.)

- 3D model scaling is just awful, World model for shotgun looks goofy and small, RPG grunt kills himself with oversized rpg when ever he fires.

- Voice Acting (while security and scientist are amazing the grunts hit rock bottom with just major fail. No iconic radio chatter sadly and are just forgettable, You are better off downloading the classic or Opposing Force grunts voices than what is given here.)

- Skins and voice packs required to make up for the design fails of the dev team.

- Having to rely alot on mod community for aesthetic fixes.

Like i stated above this game is good but misses alot of what made HL what it is but also added some new flavor in the mix with an awesome Music Score and level design its just sad they dropped the ball on the most iconic things in the HL world (Grunts). Now personally i dont think it worth the 20 bucks since i needed to download skins and voices just to re-immersed myself in this updated world but to each its own.

Definitely a big improvement from arma 2 and the player made missions are when keep this game interesting
