The Good:
The best narrative based game I've played in a while. There were a lot of twists and turns; and just enough crumbs to keep me absolutely hooked to the story and correctly read the situation about half the time and be shocked the other half. Combat, while easy for a TRPG, has a few extremely unique gimmicks that make it fun to mess around in and try different strategies. The ability to sacrifice units at low health for a powerful AoE attack, just for them to come back next wave, was one of my favorite features. Its incredibly satisfying. The good parts of the plot are all extremely heartfelt or tragic and I did sob at one point. Still not as much as I did with DR2 or AITSF though. There is a bit of that classic Kodaka 'dragged out' writing but usually that repetitive writing has ellusions to the mystery or includes characters bonding/gags. The music is great, and I love the art both during 3d and 2d sections. 3D animations were surprisingly thorough and not as janky as they tend to be in VNs.

The Bad:
Some plot points are a tad predictable if you've played Kodaka and Uchikoshi's other work; but it was unpredictable enough in other areas I didn't mind. I guessed Project RAINCODEs entire twist by the first or second case so its a major improvement. Id also argue the game has 21 actual endings and 69 bad ones. Not 100 real, solid endings. Some are just wrong choice = bad end instantly. Additionally, there are only a few endings where the mystery gets fully sloved; but if you get one of those first (like me) the other endings feel pretty tame and uninteresting by comparison as a lot of the mystique is gone. As it usually is with these two directors/writers; theres a lot of comedy endings. The humor is extremely hit or miss for me. But its super on brand Kodaka & Uchikoshi humor. Mostly Kodaka's.

The Ugly:
My only serious complaint is the treatment of one spoiler character late in the game (if you know, you know). if you are easily disturbed by abuse/torture I'd brace yourself. Its beyond anything in previous works I've played by these two and I lowkey wish it wasnt included. Im sensitive so it may not bug you but I felt like quitting the game through their arc. Just my 2 cents.

like an mmo but condensed to the best parts. wrapped up with a pretty little bow, thanks to its adorable and unique artstyle. the soundtrack is great, too. absolutely a must play for the price.

the game is perfect. its tense, yet relaxing. adorable, yet disconcerting. intriguing, yet strangely mundane. i love lobcorp and you should too. the only complaint i have is that this game is too difficult for a casual audience and would benefit from difficulty options.

this game changed my life as a teenager. its adorable, comfortable, stylish, and heartfelt. the music is by the amazing Garoad aka Michael Kelly, who has some standalone albums perfect for rainy days.

This is the best board game I've ever played. Too bad it's like pulling teeth to get any of my friends to play it.

I'm sure that has nothing to do with how horrible I am to them while playing. It's STRICTLY because it's an anime game. That must be it.
