after 897 hours.... I still love it and easily will call it my favorite game of all time even though it's been like 10 years since I first played it on PS4, all the recent updates especially have been amazing additions I highly recommend starting a long-term world with a friend or a few and really committing to learning the items, bosses, interactions, etc.

KLEI NEVER EVER MISSES.... Sad to see that streak change for me I don't find this game enjoyable I think it's a bad take on roguelikes.

There's a lot that needs to be fixed which is expected for any new game but the only two times I've lost all my microplastics are because I died in a glitched out area where it was literally impossible to retrieve my microplastics and also make it out, I've lost 12k to this...

This game is really fun, there is a limit with the controls however, at some point, I learned every mob's behavior and counter behavior and learned to account for both rendering me almost invincible. I'd contribute 1/8th of my deaths to the controls, often wall-jumping when I meant to mantle up the wall as they're the same button but slightly different positioning that feels impossible to account for at times. Aside from that, I got a fun 16 hours out of it before beating the quest mode and DLC which was a total of $20 meaning it cost me more than $1 per hour of playing, however, I do plan on playing it further with friends so I'm sure it'll live up to the cost. Lastly, ***DO NOT BUY THE DLC***, it's terrible. Reaching the bosses is a very boring and repetitive process, fighting the bosses is just repeatedly shooting eyeballs while dodging, and beating them isn't very rewarding at all. Legendary mode basically just makes them tankier and have very slight modifications to their attacks meaning you're just dodging a little bit more while needing to shoot them x20, it feels like it takes 5 minutes just to do half the second bosses' health on legendary mode which made it feel really boring. Losing that 5-10min of progress just to have to do all the stages again is so bothersome why not just let me fight the boss or something it seems like the DLC constantly avoided creative solutions to make things fun but rather just threw more enemies, and more traps, more explosions, more health your way.

People are being unfairly harsh on this game, I think people forget that it's still in Early Access and the fact that it had to be coded & made in such a quick period of time. It's done a very good job of replicating the old Paragon feel, they've redone a lot of the art changing up how some of the characters look for the better. They brought back sprinting and the old map as well as recreated the shop system. I personally prefer the card system of the original Paragon but I can't complain the change for I understand why they went that route but the thing is the champions all have very well made and thought out abilities more so than other games and it actually always feels like you can do more or be better win or lose. I highly highly recommend waiting for this project to flourish before hastly reviewing it negatively
