After huge hype and anticipation for this game, Capcom have delivered a very compelling next entry to the franchise. As my favourite game series, Wilds ticks so many boxes and at the same time elevates so many features and staples of the series. The combat feels amazing, the environments are stunning and immersive and the soundtrack is incredible. Ontop of all that, they really put effort into building the characters and story even more than previous entries which means a lot for pushing the franchise further.

With that being sad, I have to mention my criticisms of the game. Firstly, as widely known, PC performance is not great, yes it's improved from the beta but I really do wish it was more stable and just better in general. Next is the multiplayer menus, they are convoluted and confusing and I really wished they had streamlined it. FYI everything you need is probably in the strangely named "Member List." Finally, although very respectable, I feel as though just a few more monsters on the release roster would have rounded it off better, however I am excited to the future Title Updates and the monsters they will bring so we shall see.

After humble beginnings on the Playstation 2 and PSP I became heavily invested in the franchise, spending many hours of my teenage years hunting with friends and making great memories. The first time delivering a wyvern egg; running for my life or the first time slaying Fatalis; truly epic. After "Freedom Unite" I didn't follow onto the Nintendo DS, or therefore any of the subsequent games, that was until Monster Hunter World...

Literally 10 years since "Unite" released I picked up my sword once again and boy, it felt like I never left, but everything was so beautiful. Capcom have shown such passion for the game and playerbase, and the amount of content really reflects that. As a fan I am so very proud of how far the franchise has come and this game truly showcases all the great features of Monster Hunter and the certain charm that comes along with it. For new and returning players I feel this game is a great entry to the MW catalogue, a must play!
