Great work in reviving a classic! Runs smoothly, great revision, good work one the soundtrack and every line is spoken, yaay.
Was one of my first games, next to Deus Ex and Indiana Jones and the Infernal machine. I hope they revive also the second and third instalment of Gabriel Knight. Blood of the sacred was one of my favourites! There is a petition out for the 4th installement, I WOULD LOVE TO PLAY IT; MAKE IT!

Big game, sadly some a third of the features are not active anymore because of the servers not bein active anymore. I came to it too late. There is a lot in this game, mostly playing a hahcable city, viggilanty agaisnt gangs and mob bosses. Has many features, everything is driveable which is awesome, the crafthing and gunplay are really well done. Stealth is an option, which in such a largely populated game is really well done. Interesting story with a lot of warning about such a future... I do reccomend the game, however a third of in games are unavailable sadly.

Masterfull puzzle solving, with great intrigue and ingenuity, and some genuine invetions of the famous genious. Great 5/5

I have put quite a lot of time in this game, It is a big game, It is good most of the time. There are diferent paths, but i must say, if the developers maybe had more time, with some of the mechanics. I like the aesthetics, the feel, the crowds, the different factions, gangs, quests and sidequests. But when you finnish the game and all its starts and end, you see "if only they had more time" this game could have been GREAT. All the potential is there, i did hear they cut a lot of stuff from it before the release. I only played it on PC so i had minimal glitching, maybe 20 overall crashes, however the saves were stable and all...

This game tries to be everything at once. It got most of right. Maybe in the future they revisit the game, and improve and flesh it out more on the stuff they cut out maybe.

I must say i was very positively suprised, when i saw this.
I must say, THERE IS DEFINETLY A DEMAND FOR GOTHIC REMAKE. BUT! Do the legendary Gothic justice!

Understandably you cannot make it totally the same, you want to do it in a fresh way, but please keep in mind, we Gothic fans are a different breed. Add onto the original, and take as little as possible away. Change can also be good! But not simplify!

For now my take.

PROS - Things i liked and noticed:
- new and fresh fighting system (YEEEES!!!), not just spaming the keys/mouse. Huge from me + (i liked the old one it was from a different era, but I think this was sorely needed, if you are making a remake);
- smarter less clumsy enemies (including fauna);
- like the physics;
- weapons have actual reach per weapon equipped, swing and hit multiple enemies;
- graphics are a good improvement, maybe a little choppy at times. I love the armor designs, the weapons so far, ragdoll dead enemies, the inventory, journal/quests, cketches lore +++;
- I see that you changed the begining but i do like it.
- Voice of a character if wearing a helmet is muffled+;
- Jump;
- I see and acknowledge the potential, scale, don't make it smaller tha the original, expand and populate!



CONS:
- Much much more restrictive than the original (Create more explorable terrain please!, vertical, hidden, passable only if activating something hidden or transforming oneself...keep in mind every little hole, rock, platoue, door, will be attempted to be climbed, jumped and entered)
- A few more as good attack music would be good;
- Two achievements did not trigger (15 ore & 10 empty bottles);
- Chests and doors, don't like it, call me old fashioned, there was a charm actually picking the lock and remembering, left, left, right, left, right, right...trial by error. Keys are ok;
- i don't think pointers where you can pick something up are needed, most if not all Gothic fans are explore every nook and crany :D


A bit of my backround arround Gothic:
I am a fan of the original gothic, played gothic 1 more than 10 times each way possible searched every mm for loot loved the sandboxy time, atfmosphere, raw, rigid control that you had to learn yourself. It was one of my first three games, remember "Ulu Mulu" anyone XD. Later also gothic 2 was very good, aswell as night of the raven, even played it several times and finnished in german language. Before it became the gold pack. I was very pissed when gothic 3 came out, it was buggy as hell. But with good reasons, JoWood rushed Piranha Bytes to put it out when it wasn't clearly ready. I think I completed it differently about 7 times and stil with the comunity patches could get "the poison arrows skill" to make em!!! I had a crapy computer and it ran like crap, but i loved the game none the less. I also saw the love from piranha and huge potential. Gothic 3 was a massive game, with massive amounts flora, fauna, people, quests and so on. I liked the story also.

One of the best all arround casual nerve relaxing and fun games ;)

Fantastic revisioned classic! 9/10. Sadly its visionary story is sipping into our reality...

I must say, this game is a must own game, if you are a fan Batman or not it will satisfy any gamer who likes adventure, action, mano i mano fighting (supremacy in this area), beautifull graphics, leveling up, intriguing storyline & execution of all aspects. Since it came out it created its own standard for future gaming and proved that a 1 on 1, or 1 on 30 fighting game can be very succsesfull with the right ingridients.

Aplaude to Rockstedy Studios, the sequel is evem better!
