EDIT: I can no longer recommend this game, the developer abadoned it over a year ago. I really hope someone takes a lot of the concepts from it and revives it as it had some of my favorite city-builder mechanics. A shame :(

The developers are very active with the community for this game, which is always a big plus for me, especially with early access games.

I got interested in this game when I first saw it's scale, it truly is a regional city builder. Much like Cities: Skylines was to SimCity in size, NewCity is to Cities:Skylines. My latest city is just a collection of towns scattered across the map linked with a highway network and they are all just slowly growing together into one city, which feels really organic and rewarding.

The learning curve for this game is steep, but once you get the meta it is very rewarding!
