The bottom line...

The story and the grind are enjoyable....while playing in Hagga Basin, however that changed for me when I reached the ability to "explore" the deep desert.

At least for me the game was worth it, but only until the deep desert. It lacks any sort of depth. It is mind numbing how boring it gets.

In my opinion they do not need 100's of servers, and they should condense some to make it more enjoyable in the deep desert and allow for the intended PVP experience. There are servers that will only have 3-4 people max in the deep desert at one time.

Game will be dead after the DLC's get released and the hype that comes with the DLC's fades out.

The Headliners is one of my top 5 games of 2025. It offers some uniqueness, while keeping the player engaged. As far as team-mates, I have gotten decent people to play with, 98% of the time.

The only thing I do not care for is the free camera in game can be spammed by anyone in the lobby. Therefore you will have some jack*** spawning 500 cameras and then you can't find anything you purchase after that.

The devs actually seem to care for their game, and release updates fairly frequently, and with decent content changes.

It is worth the price, especially if you have few friends to play with.

Let's pretend for a second that Apex Legends, PUBG, and Warzone, had a baby, but only had a 200 dollar budget. This is the outcome.

Even for a F2P game, I just don't recommend.

Feels like any other BR game, but with an intense push for you to buy all their cosmetics and characters.
Graphically I would put this in a "mobile game from 2004" category.

I would imagine this game will get abandoned within the 1st year.

-The menu UI is pretty much copy and pasted from PUBG Mobile.
-The main menu is just a cluster of colors, with very poor organization.
-Most if not all player encounters seem to be AI that have been studying your drunk uncle at his nieces 21st birthday party.

-No updates from devs. The link takes you to their site where they tell you the best place to keep up to date is with Trello, which aside from 1 post of a Steam UI "enhancement", there is nothing that has been updated or added to the list since 2022.....Game is gone, no one will pay $10 for a flop of a game.




Concurrent players is around 0. No one is playing.

In May of 2025 they decided to raise the price to 14.99 USD, then lowered it to 9.99 USD. It is just sad, as the game does have potential, but it has been abandoned.

The game is enjoyable. The "research" mechanic is a bit unique. Traveling between islands in enjoyable. Definitely a chill game to play solo or with friends.

It is early access, and it has several bugs. The dev team seems to be very responsive though. Promising title.

Back when it first came out, I had dial-up internet, and steam was not something my grandfather wanted on his computer's.
Either way, our internet was to slow to download steam, not to mention Half-Life 2.

Now here I am in 2024, and realized finally, today, that I have NEVER played Half-Life 2. I have however played Half-Life 2 Episode's 1 & 2. Honestly feel like a kid again.

Half-Life 2 brings back memories I never got to make :)

-$49(ish) million dollars worth of revenue before Steam's 30% cut.

-$28(ish) million dollars in net revenue.

The devs must still be on vacation.

The Developer's, are obviously trolling, given their meme that has been circulating their discord.
The meme was posted via link from one of the devs' in relation to the supposed, "new update".
Along with that, there hasn't been anything posted to showcase what this update is suppose to include.

I suspect the only reason they are stating they are working on a new update, is so Steam doesn't remove the game from the store.
I am sure they are still making some money from people who don't read the reviews.

This game has a fun and crafty foundation, however there is not all that much to do. The game feels boring after 10-15 hours of playing solo.

The game is better if you have a couple of friends with you, but that just makes the lack of content even more noticeable. You can complete things and collect items more quickly with the more friends you have with you.

• Optimization is almost non-existent.
  
• Random lags spikes for no reason.
  
• Trailer physics are horrible.
  
• Vehicle physics are horrible. It is nearly impossible to drive anything but the Chevy S10, and the box truck.

On the plus side, farm equipment is at least manageable to operate. It is not exhilarating but doable.


I have a bad feeling that this game will lack updates given the same developers are developing this game below.
