In short, amazing game. We took the free weekend deal and couldn't stop playing. The game is really a chill, casual experience, but it also provides quite a challenge if you up the difficulty. The progression is so good that you don't ever feel like you're grinding to get something. Inventory, sleeping, food, it's something all casual survival games should look upon from this game. Bought it, of course, and all recommendations! Job superbly well done, devs!

Unfortunately this games deserves a negative review. I can't say it doesn't have potential for a good game, it has fun ideas, great art, amazing cinematics, but it just doesn't work. It feels more like a rough demo or early access, and far from a game priced at $20

There are too many bugs, we played online coop and it was almost always out of sync. It was constantly breaking for everyone, even for the server player.

Some bosses at the beginning were almost impossible to kill but later, even the final boss, was too easy. But probably not because they were designed that way, but because they just didn't shoot at us or used any abilities. The difficulty of the games was more in the bugs then in the scaling itself. We had to repeat almost every boss several times just to wait for zero bugs to happen. The one that's chasing disappeared so we didn't have anything to shoot at, nor did he shoot at us, and even in another try when he was there he barely ever shot. We commented that his tactic is soaking until a bug happens so he wins. Then at some other 3 players were locked out behind a wall while 1 player had to fight the boss alone. At that same boss, 2 players fell through a floor, until 2 players died and respawned in the floor too.

Weapons are too balanced, and not in a good way, but rather that they are almost all the same, as you progress nothing feels better, it's just different, and in the end all weapons somehow suck because they seem too week. Also, sometimes some weapons for some players had friendly fire, but at other times they didn't. Super weird melee where you have friendly fire and have to "risk" using it, it's just useless, as it doesn't - for example one-shots an opponent, or deal more damage to reward you for acting risky.

We played both Cannoli games and were looking forward to this "successor" only to find that it only looks that way but it's not even close in gameplay. In cannoli where you use normal weapons, there's a bigger variety (maybe even too much) and you feel like every new weapon is "too OP" and, here where you play as an Orc that SHOULD feel OP - you just don't, but you win anyway.

And it's too short. We finished it in 3 hours with all bugs and reconnects going on all the time.

Then we tried the versus mode where we had most fun, and we'd even play it again if it was developed a bit more, like adding some "Double kill" things, a scoreboard or something. It feels good and it's fun, but there's nothing in it to keep it going, there isn't even a "win" condition, so we stopped when a player got over 100 kills and we had to call it a day.

All in all, the game is fixable (with a lot of effort). If some of these get fixed, we might even try it again, and I might change ti to a positive, but until that happens... I don't recommend this game.

A really unique take on the choice system. The story feels complex and seems to actually change based on your decisions. Your character also develops differently depending on how you approach things. The narrative is intriguing and unfolds naturally through dialogues. I really hope they get to do the whole game. 🤞

Early Access Review
Going Medieval is one of those games I keep coming back to, and it always packs a surprise. The building system is just brilliant—layering floors, experimenting with bridges and basements, but still ending up with a settlement that feels natural and alive. Always a joy to play.

I loved the role playing game, and I love this one as much. It gives the feeling you are actually playing a tabletop but with much nicer graphics. I'd love to see more expansions and a community world builder would be awesome!

A nice, simple game with great oldschool graphics. It's a 4 player co-op dungeon crawler with tons of comunity made levels for hours and hours of gameplay with your friends.
