Pre-ordered this masterpiece, played it day one, ran like ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ on my 1070, but still played it. Bugs and all, EVEN DAY 1 BUGS, this game is NOVA.
One of my favorite games of all time, the story is very good, rpg mechanics worked well, and have improved IMMENSELY Since day 1. I felt like my choices actually matter, and like I'm in a wacky city that I can immerse myself in...even though we're kinda living it without the cyberware, just the dystopia part.
Anyway, I forgot to write a review earlier, but I will stand by this game that it was peak since day 1 and that Johnny did nothing wrong.

THIS GAME IS SO COOL
It's got style, the atmosphere is really good, and it's been a rush the whole time I've been playing it. I love the fact that you're just some scavenger, not a hero lol

HOWEVER, there have been things I've run into, like a bit of jank (gives it charm imo) some stability issues, SEVERE frame drops in certain areas, etc.
My rig is pretty outdated, so that may be most of the issues (inb4 upgrade ur pc). Friends have also crashed to desktop quite a bit in our time playing together, but when the game works, it WORKS.

Bloober team did a PHENOMENAL job on this game. It has a fresh coat of paint of the old game, keeping important details and moments of what made the og feel so special, as well as enhancing it with new mechanics, quality of life changes, and new content that felt natural and welcome in the new remake.

My only nitpicks are the stuttering issues, as well as the combat feels a tiny bit stiff (This is a VERY MINOR nitpick, due to it feeling more natural that James doesn't know how to fight. This isn't RE) Honesty, the combat is just a skill issue on my part, even on normal difficulty it felt like I was fighting for my life, which was very welcome.
On top of you don't need to fight every monster you come across. Running past some enemies is honestly a solid strategy.

I was able to survive solely on human flesh and survive in a wack forest with my friends. Needless to say they had their eye on me the whole time, but it was honestly a fun ride. Would highly recommend.
