Outstanding game just like the first. The game has gotten better and bigger in nearly every aspect when compared to the original. I don't think the setting is as good as the original Hollow Knight, but that's because HK1 was such a masterpiece. The map is still great, beautiful to look at, tons of secrets, and even bigger this time around. The tools system / crests are a fun change, but I think charms offered more versatility and were more fun to find. Overall this game is great and I can't recommend it enough.

Horrible battle Royale mode forced down paying players throats. Many challenges for base game content unlocks require you to now play BR, which should be an entirely different ecosystem than the main game. You can't even progress through the brand new first battle pass without counting on rerolls because more than half the challenges are for battle Royale.I was planning on going for the achievements in this game before this update where they've added completely ridiculous achievements like "revive 1988 teammates in BR" are you kidding me? The only female support skin for one team is unlocked via vehicle challenges in battle Royale mode. BR games are a fading trend and this is not only late to the party, but bad and detrimental to the main game. Way too much dev time was shifted to this considering BR gets a hugely detailed 100 player map with full skyscraper destruction and naval combat while the main game has the worst maps and most limited destruction battlefield has ever seen. This entire game feels like a bait and switch unless they separate or give up on this silly BR mode. Who even wanted this?

Very fun! Much better with friends. Always a fun time playing and gives a starship troopers vibe.

So there's lot's of issues with this DLC :
- No warden areas or "secret" areas

- Almost no lore, no endings

- Automation aspect is more annoying due to the new ore crushing mechanic

- The ice seems to block you for a lot of the game, then suddenly its almost all gone in a flash ; revealing almost nothing new, either.

- The geography is notably worse than the first planet and the clipping / LOD pop-in issues are pretty horrendous.

- They've scrapped interesting shipwrecks to explore in favor of "settlements" instead. What you really get is the same model of robot copy and pasted everywhere, sometimes holding a near useless item, and containing one to two blueprint chips that become completely useless very fast. Maybe if you could sell the blueprint chips in the trade rocket it would mean something to find them.

- The rover is kind of nice, but its handling over any sort of slightly uneven terrain is a headache and causes the vehicle to get stuck.

Instead, the DLC feels empty and without purpose. There's really no incentive to grind everything again if you played it the first time. The fact there's no story, true secret areas, or ending really just makes the entire DLC feel insignificant as a whole.

Amazingly comfy game. It's short and the story isn't the most in depth but you get to play as a cat so none of that really matters, does it?

Elated to find this released on PC. I've had countless hours of nostalgia and fun. Cannot recommend this enough.
