This game is FUN fun.

Having finished the Campaign and sunk multiple hours into the Multiplayer of the game, I'll give my thoughts about it all. Firstly:

The Campaign
I genuinely do not know what they were thinking with the Campaign for this game. It had a sick idea, but in execution it ended up feeling like a prelude to something bigger, and something that we will never get. There's 9 missions in total, but many of them are riddled with bad gameplay choices, some feel completely disconnected from the story at large and the AI in this game are ON TIMING. You'll stand up for a split second and get beamed by some AI soldier halfway across the entire map. There was multiple times during my playthrough that I was just immediately gunned down, which thankfully there's a revive system, but it was still tedious. There was also several glitches and bugs with the campaign. Overlapping audio, missing textures, out of sync cutscenes, etc. Hemlock was dope at least.

BUT WHO CARES ABOUT THE CAMPAIGN ANYWAYS?? IT'S A BATTLEFIELD GAME!

The Multiplayer
This is everything I've wanted from a modern FPS. With over 50+ guns and a gameplay loop that just does not get boring whatsoever, I'm OBSESSED with the multiplayer. Running across a giant field with jets shooting from the skies, tanks battling against other tanks beside you and gunfire all around, it's so peak... It feels like the best entry since Battlefield 1, and the best entry with "modern" guns since Battlefield 4. I wish there were more maps, and that the maps weren't all tied into the campaign, but with season 1 around the corner and three new maps on the way, I'm not concerned at all, and neither should you be.

If you're buying this game because you want to play through a cool story, this isn't the one to buy. The campaign is abysmal at best. The multiplayer though is some of the most fun I've had on an FPS in years! Completely worth it there.

This game is everything Dying Light 1 wanted to be, and everything Dying Light 2 should have been.

Worst game devs somehow cultivated the worst community of players too

Trying to eat an electrocuted fork on a saturday morning will offer you more of a fun experience than this pile of hot garbage

ANYWAYS I DID MY PART

It's been a while since I've been able to immerse myself into a game like I have with Cyberpunk 2077

When I first went into this game I expected a buggy mess but I was pleasantly surprised to be (mostly) wrong. The most severe glitch that I have ran into throughout my whole playthrough so far was my FOV getting stuck at low FOV and all I had to do was save my game there and re-load it. Besides that some of the other glitches have just been funny things that don't really bother me like Panam turning into a giant for a bit or Jackie walking over a body and kicking it into a wall.

Glitches out of the way I found everything about this game to be really good and even phenomenal in some aspects.

The gunplay was amazing, I'd often find myself going out of my way to do police assaults just to try out some new guns that I found. One gun that I really had fun with was the Revolver. It felt cool to run around with a little hand cannon dealing massive damage if you hit but also being left open to enemies if you missed, it felt like a high stakes gamble and I had lot's of fun running around with it.

Also the character customization was plentiful, I ended up spending a couple hours going to different vendors around night city and getting outfits that I liked, I eventually settled on a green biker outfit and a pink hat, I just thought it looked cool personally but there are hundreds of different combinations that you can make with the clothing in the game.

The characters are fantastic too, Johnny Silverhand was a nice and complex character to me who I felt more attached to as the story went further on, at the start of the game I hated him but I eventually came to love the guy. There are also many characters who deserve praise like Rogue, Panam, Judy and Kerry, I can't help but love all the wild characters I meet in Night City.

Probably my favourite part about the game is the driving though. There is nothing like calling your motorcycle, getting on it and just driving around the fascinating streets of Night City. I spent hours just sightseeing and driving around different highways and streets, everywhere I went felt unique and beautiful and the driving just felt so fluid and nice.

Overall this game has been a nice breath of fresh air for me and I haven't felt this immersed in a game in months, it's always a great time when a game captivates you to the point that you feel you can do anything and have fun and that's how I feel with this game.

I don't know what Cyberpunk 2077 was at release but I do know that it's nothing like it is now.

Overall: 8.5/10
