Full Metal Furies actually exceeded my expectations. With it being so obviously designed for co-op play I thought it may not hold up too well in single-player. Whereas I did play some local co-op, more often than not I was playing solo and actually really enjoyed it.

The ability to pick two characters to switch between is a brilliant mechanic and stops the combat from getting stale. With how levelling works in the game it's possible to level up all characters evenly and switch between them regularly, too (though I imagine you'd be strongest if you just focused on two characters instead).

One of my favourite aspects was the progression system, in fact, as it feels really satisfying to level up your abilities and gear, and doesn't take too long to do so. I think this was what really kept me hooked. I've written a full review of Full Metal Furies[www.indiegamewebsite.com] elsewhere if you'd like to read it. All in all, I definitely recommend the game.
