You want Takeshi's Castle mixed with Wipeout mixed with every playground game you played as a kid? And its a bunch of spongey little guys in ridiculous costumes? Yeah....you want it.

Arguably the best Star Wars game since the original Star Wars Battlefront 2. Not a lot there in terms of replay value but there's a solid and challenging 12 to 15 hour game that has an enjoyable story to boot.

Absolutely gorgeous side-scrolling action game designed almost entirely by one guy. Easily one of my favourite games of 2013 on PC. Combat is addictive, challenging without being frustrating and the story is unusually enjoyable for a game like this.

3 versus 3, 2D MOBA game with a wide cast of playable characters that all feel like they've been plucked from a 90's Saturday morning cartoon.

One of the best RTS games I've played. Great setting and interface, even if you do have to put up with GFWL.

Across PS3 and PC, I've put over 100 hours into Fallout New Vegas. I've completed it multiple times using different main quest paths and I still never get tired of it. I highly recommend checking out NexusMods if you already have this game or are considering buying it. They add a massive amount of upgrades and content to an already huge game.

There's not many games where you can spend three hour wandering an open wasteland with plenty to see, without ever entering a city hub of some sort, all while listening to the likes of Dean Martin and Frank Sinatra.

BUY THIS GAME NO MATTER HOW MUCH IT COSTS

Goes without saying that Final Fantasy VII was considered by some to be the best RPG on the Playstation 1. It's reputation has started to decrease in recent years with some people claiming it was always overrated, but it remains one of my personal favourite RPGs. The story and characters are still gripping and interesting, the (newly patched) PS1 soundtrack is still amazing and the game has one of the best equipment systems in the entire Final Fantasy series.

The polished HD models for the PC re-release can be distracting at times, but still look a lot nicer than their PS1 emulated counterparts. I will say that after playing the game across PS1/PS2/PS3 for over 15 years, I had no idea the character models were ever supposed to have mouths outside of cutscenes. The joys of HD models!

This is an absolute steal at €7 or lower, let alone the €4.41 they're asking for in the 2013 Xmas sale.

One of the best open-world games I have ever played. Combat is fun and addictive, and they actually tell a decent story too. BUY IT
