They nailed the RTS genre, more buildings than expected, emphasis on map domination and resources.
worth every penny, very fun game. What it's most like is children of the nile, Emphasis on resources and keeping your people happy while also adding to it in a fun way, rather short for my taste, but a fantastically built stage automaton strategy. They keep the gameplay unique with well written H.P Lovecraft style dialogue and stage mechanics.
