Maplestory is a decent game and is in the best state it has ever been aside from nexon being a greedy company and most updates having to be extended. With all the new events and challenger world it's the best time to start playing Maplestory as a new player. Maplestory has a good gear progression system, lots of bosses with lots of different difficulties, 51 different unique classes to play and endless content that you will take you thousands of hours to complete. You can grind as much as you want but are also time-gated by equipment drops no matter how much you grind. The game can be very overwhelming to new players with the amount of content and different systems there are but if you like VERY grindy games that you can spend hundreds or thousands of hours in, maybe try it out but if you are looking for something like classic maplestory this game is probably not for you
