I cant wait for Tom Clancy's The Multiplication

As of right now, I can not recommend Stalker 2 in its current state. I and many others have had major stutters while playing the game while also having hardware that is good enough to run the game. The game also currently lacks Alife 2.0 and instead has a janky bubble spawning system (it pulls a dead space and spawns groups of enemies directly behind the player). Weapons degrade unrealistically fast (luckily there is a mod that fixes that) and the costs to repair weapons are insanely high.

Focusing on the stutters for a couple of minutes. The big reason why the game stutters so bad is due to GSC's process of optimizing their game on Unreal Engine 5, or the lack of it. A similar thing happened with the recent Silent Hill 2 remake (although in my opinion not as bad). It seems like devs are using UE5 simply due to how good the graphics can get with the engine, but then fail at actually making the game run well. In my opinion, I think UE5 is overrated and its "mind blowing graphics" arent really mind blowing. We have seen games with run on engines that are much older but have graphics that are on par if not better than UE5. Some examples include Red Dead Redemption 2 which uses the RAGE(ngine) and that game both looks and runs phenomenally well. Another example is Metro Exodus on the 4A Engine, and what I said for RDR2 can also be said for Metro Exodus. One more game that I'd like to mention is Atomic Heart, that game when it first launched looked amazing and ran pretty smooth and the engine it used was UE4.

Some people may argue that we should not be too harsh on GSC since they've had to deal with a war, and while that is true, it can only go so far. They really should have delayed the game one more time to polish the game more instead of releasing the game half baked. To add on top of that, they are temporarily located in Prague which is not located in Ukraine.

If you were thinking about getting the game, well I'd say wait, at least for a month or two. If you are really craving something like this go check out the Metro series if you havent already, or maybe go buy Stalker Call of Pripyat and use the Gunslinger mod.
