-Overall, game is good. (I get that hating on new games is "popular thing to do", but play it for yourself and allow the developers time to respond to community feedback)
-The common UI complaints are in reference to missing information in certain scenarios (which can be found in other locations). No it's not perfect, but the people whining in the reviews haven't put enough time into the game to learn the menu's or features. If it really bothers you, there are multiple mods to correct this until the developers can make appropriate changes.
-The new game layout is interesting and brings a breath of fresh air to the Civ loop. The only complaints I have is the inability to continue once the 100% age progress has been met(ESPECIALLY IN THE MODERN AGE) , but developers mentioned that the "One More Turn" feature will be returning soon.
-At the end of the day, its Civ. These games are timeless and no one is forcing you to purchase and play the new game. If you like mechanics of V, go back and play V. They're different and new games for a reason, not just graphical updates.
