It's good for what it is. Is it a full-fledged sequel? No. Is it fun to play for a month or two and then forget about? Yes. For a AAA title, 343 has done an embarrassing job. There are glitches and flaws in this game that STILL exist one year later. It STILL isn't finished. If you're able to sideline your expectations you can have a good time, because the gameplay is great. It's just everything else that sucks.

Very very good. The combat is intense the weapons are varied enough for replay value and it's a decent challenge.

I'm 12 hours in and loving it. Great challenge, enough variation to keep things interesting from run to run. The music is just okay, it doesn't meet the soundtrack quality of something like Killing Floor 2 but it also isn't bad. Nothing beats the feeling when you're right on beat flying through levels, for the price it's a really good deal. I absolutely feel like I've gotten my moneys worth from this.

This is a great strategy game, truly unique combination of several genres. I want to say it's a blend of tower defense and rogue-like RPG, along with RTS, but that's a bit misleading. The term "tower defense" kind of has a negative connotation to me, it makes me envision just building a ton of towers and then upgrading them endlessly, beat the level, lather rinse repeat. This game is not even remotely like that. It leans more towards the RTS side of things, upgrading production/farming resources/building up your units, fortifying an area and trying to push out into other areas. It's a truly unique game and as a controller player as well, you can tell they painstakingly put thought into the control schemes and movement schemes. It's really a fantastic game, good soundtrack, excellent gameplay. This is a unique experience that I promise you wont find anywhere else.
