Huge story, huge map- if you like exploring and ignoring the main storyline, you can easily dump over 100 hours into this game just doing the map areas and (some) storyline missions for area access and unique parts of the game you'll want to do in tandem with that exploration (without spoiling too much, that's all I can say). The combat is absolutely infuriating in nightmare, though that's what I'd hope and expect. The ship combat will want to make you tear your hair out, and it's my one critique about this game when compared to the golden standard: Assassin's Creed Black Flag. Other than the terrible ship combat, it's an overall solid game.

Solid gameplay and a much better multiplayer than civ 6, I'd honestly recommend this over that game to start off the series with.
