This game is fantastic in pretty much every way that I could possibly think...

It's really intense and it *will* test your gaming prowess, but it's one of the most rewarding games (if not THE most) to get right. There's so many different kinds of interactions that you can have between the various weapons and even the attacks of the enemies themselves and it makes for really engaging, almost emergent gameplay scenarios.

This game was (and still is being) made with so much love and passion that it's hard to not feel just how much the developer(s?) love playing and making it.

If you just want to go around shooting everything with the basic pistol you're more than welcome to, but the game really shines when you experiment with swapping between the various weapons to either handle different kinds of enemies or introduce new situations.

Before I started streaming this game and looking up videos on this game's mechanics I had absolutely NO idea just how deep the tech went, like, for example;

With the Marksman revolver you can alt fire to toss a coin. Shooting that coin will reflect a bullet to the nearest enemy weakpoint. That's all fine and dandy, but here's the thing. You can toss a coin, toss another coin, and shoot one of the coins and it'll reflect TO THE OTHER COIN and THEN to the nearest enemy weakpoint. AND IT DOESN'T EVEN END THERE.

You can punch your own coins and after they bounce off of an enemy their damage *increases*. You can reflect *any* hitscan attack with a coin, even ones that *aren't* yours. You can steal the beam from a malicious face with a coin to reflect all that damage at something else. You can reflect RAILCANNON shots off of coins.

You can punch your own shotgun pellets to make them go faster, you can parry damn-near anything, and you can even snipe your own shotgun grenades to make the explosion even bigger.

I could go on and on about all the various fun ways to play and interact with the game, but I've rambled long enough and the honest truth is that this game is incredible. It is 100% worth your money. Ignore that "early access" taste in your mouth and buy it. If you like action and you like things like Quake and Doom you *will* have fun. You won't just have fun; you'll have a [REDACTED] BLAST.

Play ULTRAKILL.

[Before I say anything in regards to the review I just want you to know that I wholeheartedly recommend this game to pretty much anyone. I have a really bad attention span and most games don't really hold my attention, but Bloodstained I've been playing nonstop. It's just so addicting to explore, keep getting stronger, and reveal more of the touching story. Get this game!]

Gameplay, visuals, audio; it's all perfect, but what I really want to shine a spotlight on is just how immersive this game is. The world of Bloodstained is ALIVE. The combination of gorgeous parallax effects, lively and fun characters, and blood decals that splatter on both the foreground and background make the castle just feel so real.

Everything has a purpose in Bloodstained: RotN (especially the enemies.) Every single enemy in the game has a chance to drop what's called a "shard" which is various forms of magic abilities related to that enemy, granting you a cool power. There's also the fact that enemies with unique weapons usually have a chance to drop those to so if you see an enemy and think "wow, that's a neat ability/weapon" you can probably get it.

In true Castlevania fashion all enemies also drop items, but this time around in good ol' Bloodstained they can be used for both crafting and *cooking*. As you explore the castle and defeat enemies you'll find all kinds of materials and food items that you can turn into various things either for your own benefits or to fulfill a multitude of different quests given to you by the fine folks of the now-razed town of Arvantville.

You can fight, explore, cook, craft, accessorise; there's so much to do in such a concise package.

"Wait, accessorise?" Yeah! In Bloodstained: RotN not only can you discover various different hairstyles and change things like your eye colour and clothing colour, but your headgear, some accessories, and your scarf are all cosmetic items so go ahead and storm the castle in STYLE.

Trying to not just sit here and gush about how great the game is really hard so please just give it a shot and I promise you'll probably like it.

A bit of context first;

I'm a total chicken pansy when it comes to just about anything spooky and I generally avoid early access horror games like the plague, both for their inherent spook factor and their notorious track record of generally being quite ass.

With that being said, this game is fantastic. There's so much love and care put into this product to make it an overwhelmingly enjoyable and tense experience. From things like switching between local and global voice chat to communicate effectively (and your radio being cut off when the ghostie's comin' for ya) to the multitude of gadgets and gizmos that you use to track down all different manners of supernatural entities from your basic spirit or poltergeist to something as aggressive as an oni.

One of my favourite things about this game is how it manufactures and constitutes so many organic scary moments that you can share with your friends and endure together. Speaking of "friends", definitely find some people to play this with. (not just because it's really scary on your own, but it's just a blast with a full team)

Another thing I really like about this game is the inclusion of voice recognition. Even when you're not on either of the voice chat channels, the ghost can still hear you and will actually respond to things you say, like if you tell them to "close a door" they might actually close a door and send your heart into orbit.

I just highly recommend this title. It's a lot of fun, endlessly replayable, and dirt cheap.

If you're made of sterner stuff or know people who are, you definitely gave to give it a try.

If you can keep up with the constantly changing meta or find some way to ignore it, I guarantee you're gonna have some fun.

Warframe is pretty much the best thing you can play for free;

It's got action combat, customization, and a whole boatload of weapons to choose from and craft, not to mention pets!

It's honestly just a really neat game and I highly recommend it to anyone who might be getting tired of other games like Destiny.

This game has guns 10/10

No, but seriously now...

I remember really wanting to play APB way back when it was a B2P title as it was basically an MMO version of cops and robbers.

Upon getting into the game, it was actually pretty entertaining and I have to admit that I'm terrible at PvP and figthing other players, but even with tha affliction I enjoy the constant struggle players trying to either uphold the law or smash it, and all its windows and garages to bits.

It's by no means a fantastic game, but it is fun for a couple runs with your pals, shooting at some dudes, stealing cars, and such.

Some of the animations feels a bit stiff but they're overall very nice and the customization options are fairly expansive, especially for vehicles, but the ability to run around town in a bandana with cowboy pants is pretty fantastic.

If you're more into PvP then you'll probably enjoy this much more heavily than I do or did, so load it up and give it a whirl.

Recommended.
