best game ever made

Friend got me this one, honestly I was not expecting to like it as much as I did... The story is very well crafted with exciting plot twists and a great build of characters and drama to keep things moving and exciting. The fighting itself is very very cool, breaker style FTW no doubt! Sometimes on PC controls would be slightly awkward and there would be the odd softlock. Realistically speaking the game is ideally meant for a controller, which you can still use on a PC. Other than that, a great experience and one which I wholeheartedly recommend... All be if you want a enjoyable story/fighting game!

I f♥♥♥♥ing hate that racing mission-

All jokes aside this game was really what I could of hoped for from a remake, there are a few things here and there which I will get into but overall I think Hangar 13 really got themselves sorted out for this release!
I watched the original Mafia play-through on YouTube some years ago, I didn't buy it as I couldn't justify it for the age it was released, although for its time it was something else!
Sure enough time passed and the remake announcement was released! I wanted to keep my expectations measured due to Mafia 3s underwhelming success and issues along with the rushed Mafia 2 remake but I couldn't help but have good hopes. The release day came and with the good reviews coming in and the asking price of about thirty five pounds, I was in.
The performance was great, the game never dropped in frames and looked really nice! I had it on max settings with a 1080ti at 1440p and it was a great experience, the visuals and really strong lip syncing technology accompanied the story/cut-scenes really well. It almost felt like a mafia movie. The story itself was very strong, they had tastefully changed some things from the original which I respected with the story, so previous players would have a slightly different experience story wise. The gameplay was a lot of fun with some challenging shootouts, steadily getting harder from the start which was great, the slightly harder shooting from other games was also appreciated along with a proper cover and aiming system! I did miss the fact that your accomplices could die in shootouts, increasing the challenge and some parts of the soundtrack, but the music still held up very well. The difficulty was good, I played it on hard with simulated police which I would probably recommend for previous players. I appreciated the driving system respect with manual options and the limiter being present along with fuel to monitor and refill. The car encyclopedia with a race track to tests all your cars out and a free ride mode for free roaming was also greatly appreciated. Other than wishing there were more shops to visit like in Mafia 2, It has been a really good release and an 8.5/10 from me!

It's a good RTS, similar to Empire but more compressed to the Napoleonic era and with improved Visuals.

Personally I think this game is a great RTS, Although almost a decade old as of now, It still works as normal all be it not scaling properly with resolutions over 1080p and having to tweak the graphics options to prevent graphical glitches and other issues. (It also has a few weird bugs such as when selecting a grouped bunch of units defined by a number, the game moves them in a strange fashion so not sure what that's about.

With that aside It does what it does very well, the units are very historically accurate, the volley fires and cavalry charges and artillery, formations etc are really well done. Although it shows it's age, It flexes Its intense and well made historical battles such as Waterloo and the battle of Borodino. It really challenges your knowledge of the events to win and your strategy skills as how well you know your units. It has lots of difficulty modes to in case it becomes too difficult or easy. The campaign is good, It is more battle emphasised which is to be expected but to me that was a bonus, as it is a total war game after all. The voice overs are great as well as the soundtrack being one of the best game soundtracks I have ever listened to. If you love the Napoleonic era and enjoy an RTS, not being bothered by game release dates, this is a good game to try.
N.B. I never tried Multiplayer, I'm unsure how well it would work nowadays so be wary about that.

Looks may be deceiving, but this game really surprised me, It takes a while to develop but the wait is worth it, It is one crazy experience and it showed off some attributes almost all games don’t have... I'd say what they were but I wouldn't want to spoil it.
Definitely get it if in doubt, it's free anyway!
