I've been playing since Day 1, and I am still in love with this game as it really holds a special place in my heart!
As a history nerd, this game hits the spot. There are events you can revisit, stories of different eras, characters with designs inspired by their timeline, all very respectful to the world's cultures, history and mythos.
The art direction is totally god tier, skins are awesome and they are fairly cheap priced, heck even the free ones are INCREDIBLE, the English voice acting is fantastic (Druvis III my beloved ♥) and it's a first for me since I am usually playing with JP voice acting in most gacha games..
FOMO is slowly being eliminated by the fact that every character is being added on the standard banner after a while, and some battlepass and endgame skins are being added in a special store in every new version. Sure true limited characters are not being added but on Anni/Half anniversaries they rerun older limited characters.
Gacha-wise the game is as f2p as it gets, it showers you currency and you can get every character if you don't plan for portraits (dupes). The rest is all about luck.
Combat-wise is very straight forward with card system, and it can be overwhelming with tutorials at the start, and the game modes it has later on, but once you reach the endgame, you won't have problem once you have built at least 2 good teams!
In a sea of soulless gacha, Reverse: 1999 actually stands out for actually giving a damn. It’s artistic and worth every second if you’re into History, Mythos, gorgeous art, doomed yuri-- the list goes on.
Soon we will have Assassin's Creed collab and 2nd anniversary so please give it a go!
[ps. I used to play on it's Standalone Client until I moved recently to Steam ver. so I have over 500hours in this game.]

As someone who didn't play any Atelier series, I can say I am having fun.
It's a good introduction for me to the series, and I am willing to give to the series a go.
-Rerolling is easy, was able to land what I wanted within a few hours.
-Gameplay is a fresh breath and I really like the Alchemy mechanic, grind is to be expected (well you cannot expect you will get everything easily and in one go)
-Story is very fun, I like Resna, but I am still in Chapter 2, so lots of stuff to do ^^
-Gacha rates are fine/ could be better ( but 4% for a 3 star is better than some other gacha games *cough* ). Of course you need to be lucky, although I would suggest to spend with caution (like in every gacha game).

My only problem with this game is the monetization/ Income. Paid gems are fine and a standard thing on a JP game BUT, I -would really suggest some better paying options, including a Monthly Card or a Battle Pass. Maybe some things to help low spenders?
If only they would make more ways to earn gems, especially for the f2p people, I believe this game would do much better and if they were to do so, I will gladly continue to support the game, because it HAS potential.
Don't believe doomposters, if you don't want a game to die, support it, be it with just playing it or paying, and that doesn't go only for this game but for any game you play. Just make sure you do it within reason.
Cheers o/

Overall a 7/10
