Contender for the best RPG maker game ever made, and might just be the best cosmic horror game in video game history. Tonally focused in its humor and horror and being completely its own in being grounded in the day-to-day 'realism' in how one would navigate this kind of ordeal.

Cannot stress enough how well worth the price is to play and support something this special.

At times reaches the heights of Disco Elysium and Planescape Torment. Very well written and on the level of the best cyberpunk literature and cinema.

Cronenberg levels of horror with a hint of Carpenter's Apocalypse trilogy. A modern-day horror masterpiece.

3rd Playthrough currently with mods added and still has the greatest sound design and integration of sound in gameplay to this day. This is one of the few games I'll always leave installed and either play through a mission again for variety or a fan mission. Make sure to use the patch for it to run properly and also to get the best experience. Downside it doesn't log onto your steam (or just too lazy to figure it out) but easily have spent a couple dozen hours on this game. It's one of the few games I'll point to for anyone searching for a unique and unforgettable experience in a game.

Hard to recommend as well as not recommend altogether. Kinda sucks as a Thief sequel given how shockingly condensed all the levels are compared to the previous titles that were sprawling and never saw a load screen in-game. There are some nice art design choices despite the environments tending to look outright the same. Moving Garett tho is where the game suffers as well as its buggy physics that are neither complimented for first or third person despite having the option to choose either/or. The story... kinda don't care for and also not cohesive to the character overall.

Worth checking out if you like Thief or if you're curious. It does need patching since the game as is will not run on modern OS (as usual with steam). Jumping in without playing I and II will have you lost since this was Eidos' attempt at the time to revamp the series to a new audience despite the lack of backstory. Wish it ended up being better and the last entry... we don't talk about that.

Nothing quite like this unique yet highly flawed immersive sim. This game was hyped by its cult following and lived up to all expectations. Could have been an amazing masterpiece yet still holds as one of the most memorable stories and atmospheric experiences in gaming. Definitely plan to play through again since it has tremendous replay value in playing as different factions. Worth checking out and getting sucked-in to its brooding world.
