TLDR I've gotten about 5 hours of fun out of it so far all entirely for free. Give it a shot.

Pros:
It's free.
It's fun.
Skating, Moving on foot, and doing weird stunts (aka the bulk of the game) all feel great.

Cons:
VO is kinda bad in places
Vee is annoying (there's an option to turn her off)
Cash shop is pushed hard.
Not as big a variety of challenges as previous games. (no SKATE, death races, etc.)

Honestly my biggest complaint is how slowly and awkwardly the free cosmetics are unlocked. Skate culture is a lot about personal expression and individuality, so having these very limited customization options for your clothes and your board and making everyone wear almost the same thing is a big downer.

New maps get generated every 24 hours, but the generation gets wonky sometimes. Some days will be harder than others.

TLDR: Give it a shot. It's free. I liked it and I'm considering picking up the full game.

Maybe the demo got updated, or maybe my hardware has been blessed, but I had no glitches, long loading screens, or performance issues with the demo. For anyone curious, this was run on a 3070Ti, an R7 5800X, 16G of ram, and installed on an M.2 SSD which is also my C:/ drive)

Graphically the game looks good and runs well. there were no obvious and immersion-breaking graphical bugs, Overall nothing more comes to mind graphics-wise other than "It was good," and i think that means they did their job. they looked good, and they weren't distracting.

Gameplay wise, it felt good. The blaster combat felt nice, though those little lizard enemies in the wild felt oddly tanky compared to the humanoid enemies. Stealth sections were kinda easy, and the starship controls were not what i'm used to, so it took a moment for them to click in my head.

The premise of the story seems interesting, and i find myself curious to learn more about the characters and their relationships. Voice acting was good and conversations felt natural and believable

Endgame openworld content is very easily controlled by the top guilds of a server. They will dominate PVP events and bosses, and they occasionally have the ability to stop you from participating in non-PVP events and bosses.

No server is safe. If the #1 guild does not use these tactics, the #2 guild can easily take the place at the top by performing these tactics.

The game's open world systems are highly exploitable. Until they are fixed, you either pray you can join a top guild, or you are barred from participating in a large potion of content.

Buy the game and play the first level.
It will take you less than 2 hours and you will KNOW after the first boss if this game is for you.
It makes an AMAZING first impression and does not disappoint throughout the remainder of the game.

"Why do you have so few hours?" Because i played it for free on gamepass and decided it was so good i needed to buy it to support it.
