One of the best RE games. I played on Classic difficulty and loved it. It does a great job blending the horror of RE7 and the more action oriented experience of RE4 Remake and Village.

Excellent strategy game, I expected something similar to XCOM, but it plays very differently, although if you are a familiar with turn-based tactics games, you'll feel right at home. A lot of the combat variables are calculated in a way that makes sense (i.e. each shot fired has its own probability to hit, rather than it being a single roll like it is in XCOM). The missions are all fun and the map generation keeps the game from feeling bland.

There is a lot of equipment, armor, weapons, and vehicles that each fill a role. To balance all of the very powerful gear, the game has a point system. This prevents you from exclusively bringing your best gear to each mission, sometimes it's better to have a smaller element with the best equipment available, sometimes you want to bring vehicles, sometimes you may even be best off by just spamming cheap infantry. It adds a lot of depth and prevents early snowballing, which is something a lot of these games tend to struggle with.

If you are wary of early access, there is already a lot of content, with plenty more to follow. In its current state, I can still highly recommend it. The developers already have a proven track record with their support of their previous title, Battle Brothers (which I can also recommend).

It's a good game, feels like the sequel to FTL that we never got. Main difference with this game is the importance of crew management, and of course the setting.

If you liked the movies, you'll probably like this. Gameplay feels like a real-time XCOM mixed with Darkest Dungeon.
It very faithfully adapts the source material, the only other game that comes close is Alien: Isolation.
I can highly recommend this to any Alien fan, but if you can, wait for a sale.
