As someone who's been playing this game since the older generations of PES, let me tell you: don't let yourself get addicted to this. It might sound a bit crazy at first, but soccer games have something very specific about them: there are no other real options. Sure, there are technically some alternatives like rematch or UFL, but none of these games have the same level of technical depth or years of experience that Konami and EA bring to the table.

Soccer is one of the simplest sports in the world, and you’d think that would apply to the games too. But it falls into the saying, “easy to make, hard to master.” You won’t find the same quality graphics, 3D models of players and stadiums, or physics anywhere else like you do in EA FC or eFootball. That’s just how it is.

The game itself isn't better than EA FC (or the late FIFA series), it just offers something different. eFootball has a more rhythmic style of soccer that values ball possession and playmaking through passes, as opposed to FIFA, which focuses more on dribbling.

But here’s the issue: outside of these games, there’s no real competition. And the companies behind them are just trying to squeeze as much money as they can from players while putting in as little effort as possible.

The only real addition eFootball has made in recent years are new cards, and more cards. They don’t bother with creating events or buying licenses. The game has become as empty as a saucer. Monthly, you get the same events focused on one of the three biggest leagues in the world, plus your local league. And then there's the division mode, which is just PvP about climbing up ranks.

Aside from that, the game is incredibly scripted. It’s so rigged that sometimes you can’t even tell if the goal you scored was due to your own skill or just because the game decided to help you. It honestly feels like at the start of the match, the game already knows who’s going to win, and that’s how it’s going to play out. If the opponent’s supposed to win, they will, no matter how good you are. I think the game does this to prevent pay-to-win players from always winning and to stop new players from quitting after losing every match. Konami gives them that first “win” to hook them, but after that, it’s all downhill. You’re just chasing that initial high, which you’ll never get back. Because, once again, every match is scripted
