Rainbow 6 siege ive owned since 2016

In its current state december 13th 2025 i cant reccomend it. It is a content farm for streamers who use it to be toxic in game at the expence of your time and energy. The game devs have tried many penaltys to try and stem the tide of greifers, cheaters, toxic chats and toxic abuse in voice chat or adding a you can kill 1 person "by accident" on your own team before it just kills you for the round or even perma muting, banning or text chat its just not enough to make the game like it was at launch. It was limited and more tactical and intense then but now its just people sheild bashing people till the rounds end or abusing interactions or toxic gamelay. Its rush meta because the game can be really fast (as fast as 15 seconds with the right ops out of 3 min rounds) so games finish with you as a lower elo player doing nothing. or you jump into matches that are already 2 v 5 on match point for them so your just spectating a game thats a loss. You can now walk through 2 kapkan traps as a 2 armor and still kill the whole team because traps do nothing to slow down gameplay.

This post will just seem salty and will likly be burried under a mountain of guys from 6 years ago talking about how great it is but even if the developer or publisher was a respectable company with 0 scummy actions it still wouldnt matter because shot of making teamkilling impossible, making traps more hiden or damaging / slowing, turning chat with other team off completly and rewarding good behavior with more than a handful of renown (the in game curreny) as a good person allowance its just not going to be good.

Its just the dark times for seige where atm the cheaters are so incredibly blatant.

The game has 3 technical issues that are not really solved by anything other than good luck. Jitter (the game freaking out and making it impossible to aim or play, FPS drops where your game turns into a slideshow no matter how good your settup is or connection failure wherfe you just lag out all together.

with nearly 1800 hours in over a really long time buy this game only if you have a discord server full of interested people who can 5 stack so that even if they are terrible people on the other team at least they are not on your side ruining it the other way.

I will probably keep playing as i like to play with a few friends or play the bot mode wich they have somewhat improved but id suggest any other popular current day shooter instead.

Premis: You are a ghost that lives in a distopian future where the dead are put to work to empty the worlds gas stations, junkyards, train stations and depatment stores. Humans walk around playstation 2 graphics buildings of cardboard child forts envorioments. Dropping garbage just for you to collect to resycle into base parts sold to make money that can never be spent on anything more than making slightly more complicated items. what if sadisfactory felt lifeless and hollow and turned into a 3d gossip harbor merge game with a resycling skin.

I spent 31 hours making stuff to sell to no one to build to a point that is nothing. Meanial task simulator. in a playstation 2 spongebob game enviroment making fun of a PENTIUM 2 windows 98 screensaver.

Id buy it if its 6 or 7 bucks and you know it goes no where.

I know it says overwhelmingly positive but i have no idea why

There have been a slew of sarcastic simulator games as of recent years and its all from the same studio. Homeless sim or pawn shot sim, police brutality sim or prison sim. there are many more and they are all the same. Lazy quick asset flip "games" with the same tone. Some are cleaner than others and some are not. This one had me going because its like papers please. Except its not it kind of reminds me of a playstation 2 game or like early stalker.

Its got what everyone hates in games

-Follow missions with incredibly sensitive line of sight issues
-Car chases with super floaty physics and impossible to stop cars
-Papers please investigations that never tell you what you did wrong so that you can learn
-A tutorial that doesn't really explain the games mechanics
-Upgrade trees and employees that tell you nothing of what your upgrading or for what purpose

After 2.7 hours i feel as tho i have had my fill and im refunding the game and may grab it again if its not just abandoned by the dev team like they do to all the other IPs they make.

Early Access Review
Disclaimer - This review is subject to update if new updates fix problems or just generally improves the game play loop.

1st off let me just say this is a dev team of 2 people Miju Games is a small Dev company and its in early access so this isn't going to be a tear down of a game. I think at its current state its fine. My review will stay negative till its .... better till then this is dollar store no mans sky.

The Good - The game is engaging, there is always something to do and there are no enemies so you can turn off the sound and just play and listen to stuff and unless you forget the Hunger / Life / Oxygen / Water meters there isn't much that can happen to you. So far i haven't gotten stuck in any of the collision. The game as far as play ability is fairly complete. There is a feedback option in the menu so you can report bugs or make suggestions.

The Bad - Graphics are very poor, pop in and out textures, world holes, the sand as it terraforms stays sand all the way to the end and just changes color. All vegetation is just a sprite model that grows by getting slightly bigger instead of having any interesting growth. There have been times where i was exploring and nearly fell into some world holes were the graphics were clipping.

The Annoying - For people who are OCD this game will infuriate you. Nothing fits well in base, by that i mean storage chests or incubators, almost any placed object in base does not look good in base and the modulus that the buildings are made of don't allow for things to be replaced when you upgrade something with the exact same dimensions of the old model. Rocks are not able to have things placed on them so when you build your steel foundations you have to be careful to not build near them or you cant build there.

There is a drip feed of new tech. As an example, i need microchips for items in the mid game were i am now after 40 hours so i guess i have to wait till they are unlocked but its a hard gate for progression. I looted all the ships and i think found all the random containers and now i am just stuck making equipment to hopefully, fingers crossed get it in a tech update otherwise i am in for a lot of grinding.

There is microchips you can find in chests but there is only like 30 unlocks you can use them on with the computer screen. I now have 15 extra that do nothing now and are worth nothing in the ship trade.

The auto crafter doesn't work at all. looked it up online. Just doesn't work at all but even if it did it would still be very annoying to use because it doesn't allow you to pull from the other boxes around it to make whatever, it auto crafts one item at a time slowly into a small storage space.

The launch pad / resycler has you put an item in and then click a separate button so that the item can pop out of a machine and not just auto do it into a container over time for some reason and i found it very tedious.

My spawn location made me think that building there was practical and safe and only after watching a tips and tricks video did i find out that if i had stayed my base and all my work would have been under water by the 5 or 6th progression. There is a really weird amount of 0 feedback from ether a disembodied voice reminding me of in game facts. I know we complain about it in other games but here its needed. I die so often from thirst or lack of oxygen because there is 0 feedback in the hub.

Death in base means nothing other than a brief pause in your game play and if out of your base having to go get your things in a create nearby. In your base constantly dying while afk or just because you forgot is more just an annoyance rather than immersive.

Conclusion - I think its fine. I think its defiantly not worth full price in its current state even at 20 bucks i think at best this reads as free to play or taken down all together till its a more stable better state. To me this is the bones of a game that may eventually be quite good so long as they clean it up a bit. If you love games like this i suggest letting it cook a bit longer. At this moment i have too many complaints that mostly sit in the annoying category. A base builder survival game were you transform a area on a world is quite interesting.

This game is the most glitchty thing i have played since totally accurate battle simulator or the amazing goat. From someone seeing the floor is dirty and then getting in an invisible car and driving out of my store to putting a scratch repair on a door of a car in the garage and the car flipping in side the garage blocking any further cars from entering to garbage disappearing once you click it into the geometry or you having to click something 5 or 6 times for it to accept that you clicked it.

This game is so buggy i had to double check if it was in early access. Im actually convinced this game is pre alpha and we are testing it or something because i cant believe a game developer would release this on purpose un-ironically.

After looking up the development company im convinced they are like phone game developers who release a million versions of the same game ie (idle miner or idle food truck or idle theatre)

I got it thinking it would be a cute time waster game but after literally breaking my game its clear the developers dont care and are just spitting out games that they can call simulators so they can hold there hands up when they are broken youtuber fodder.

Played for 2 hours built a massive raft with 100 people on it then a storm came and destroyed the raft after i uselessly clicked the put up metal pole policy.

Also

Your villagers are sick to eating too much whale blubber

A villager drank to much and has died

A villager died to the man o war

Are not explanations on what those are or how to fix them.

I love city builders Planetbase and banished are awesome. This is in early access so i cant harp too hard but the game to me isnt buggy the choices devs made are weird and i assume only for style. My review will change when the game does.

6/10

1.Game looks good and has obvious improvements over house flipper witch is the nearest game in relation
2. Gameplay is super easy however its not always obvious as to what your supposed to do and the hints are super vague. ex - Assemble the handcart in the snow level (key in the upstairs offices of the main building) I cant find the room that the key goes to after running up and down the tracks.
3. Further in the game you go it seems its all about putting furniture in rooms and not about repairs at all so the game gets super stale quick.
4. Had an issue in the level where its night time i could barely see and it doesn't tell you to go up to an office to ask the train to leave the station to go to the turn table.
5. I mostly had to quit at like 3 or 4 stars on some levels because i couldn't find what was missing and nobody has played this game so it has no walkthroughs or guides.

Im leaving this at a thumbs down for now because i beat the game with various stars in less than 6 hrs and was so bored in the last level i just put furniture in random places because it was boring to complete. Will update review if i see an update from the devs.

What happens when you have a developer who makes sylized 1st person games and is owned by a company that is primarily a marketing company looking to squeeze your money out of you with minimal effort.let me start by saying i got this game from g2a for 35 bucks about 2 weeks after release.
1. No minimap doesnt mean no map and doesnt mean no waypoints and a compass at the top of the screen.
2. No skill tree. Just a point system that once you hit 1 or 2 prepper stashes you reach godhood right at the begining of the game.
3. No towers to climb. Map has a reveal with found or bought maps system.
4. partner system: unlock by finding a dog or a bear or a guy doing constant air strikes or sniper and so on as well as npc followers who are just gunmen you can recruit who die easily. The partner system is broken. Get the plane guy he can drop air strikes on anything and u target by pointing at stuff.
5. Guns are unlocked as you progress or defeat camps however there is a list of "premium guns" you can buy with "silver" wich is a micro transaction or you can do 3 or 4 prepper stashes and get some of the op guns with money and have an endgame gun right away you will almost never change.
6. Minimal crafting elements this time, hunting is for sport and for money selling pelts
7. The arcade is dumb. Thought i was getting mario maker levels of creativity but generally its a few challenge levels done by devs but the player ones are almost he same level over and over again.
8. Play with your friends, this time its less jankie but just makes the game twice as easy.
9. beat the game 100% getting all the op gear and prepper stashes and doing all the events and killing all the bosses and side quests in about 15 hrs.
10. DLC Vietnam and space. Reskins of the same areas with about 5 or 6 hrs each of playablility. Your not getting blood dragon levels of extra content.

If its cheap enough id get it.

This is prob out of the 500 games i got on steam my favorite dungeon crawler game. That being said there are things that id like to change to make it that much better. 1. I have predictive networking on wich makes my latency issues a little less daunting and i rubber band much less but the servers for this game are god aweful so nothing feels worse than to be in a boss fight or a elemental reflect area and you game stops and you rubber band all over and you dont know youve been dead till 20 seconds later. 2. The trade market should be based off values from the items and not the stock market it is now were one day an item is valued at an ex and the next its valued at an alteration. 3. When experiencing issues in game i wish there was a prompt that may appear giving you advice on possible solves as apose to me having to comb the internet to find easyer solutions. Like if your game rubber bands alot the game should ask you if you want to use predictive or not with a brief description as to what it does for your experience.

With that out the way beyond that the games great. the seasonal events are pretty eventful and the building of the character and finding builds and finding / trading for the items you need is pretty darn neat. Getting alot of influx from disapointed Activision - Blizzard fans dissapointed from diablo phone so the games pretty full of new players. Lots of meta to learn even after 500 hrs on the game im still learning new stuff i did not know.

Update after 1100 hrs in the game

The servers are still a mess after my 6 th year now i get crazy rubber bands and latency issue when all other games i play are totally fine. The game is good and playable but i would not suggest playing hardcore at all because there is a chance the screen will freeze and then you will see a couple seconds later that you are dead. So for this reason i have to turn my thumbs up to a thumbs down. till they ether fix the server issues or release a statement that they will.

Like the 1st game but now with RPG elements to keep player playing for longer. Made it a little more grindy forcing you to replay areas to collect bountys and find hidden loot you missed. Still funny, and charming and super crude but maybe a little too much fan service. 1st time i beat it i didnt pay attn to the Rpg elements and it was fairly easy. 2nd time i grinded a little bit and beat it with cool stuff i found / earned that was still easy but now cooler. Idk what to tell, its shadow warrior.
