Hoi4 kinda cool

The game is well made I can't say I've noticed any bugs outside of the matchmaking system, the atmosphere and graphics are good, and as a result I find the game really enjoyable! My biggest issue is, it's not playable single player really, it's designed for multiple people and the number of people doesn't seem to change the difficulty at all. Thankfully I've found the recent addition of the underdevelopment matchmaking system help solve this issue somewhat. I first bought this right after its release, however the impossibility nearly of single player, caused me to refund it, as I couldn't convince any of my friends to also buy it. Thanks to matchmaking, I've been able to re-buy the game and enjoy it properly.

As much as I would love to say this is true, since the full version release the bug level has gone up quite a bit, though they're not usually game breaking, and are quite often voice call related. However, there's not no reason for this, the game quality and quantity has gone up considerably. It got a little easier and a little less frustrating I think, with the adding of checkpoints, meaning you don't have to restart from the start every time you fail.

All in all, remains a high rating for me, just figured I'd provide some newer more accurate info.

I've got a small handful of hours in this game, completing it on my second attempt. There have been obvious improvements and work since the demo, and I feel like this game has a great future. The game is flawed and full of bugs but, in a pre early access stage, this isn't surprising in the slightest. The discord server is rather active and there's normally someone on there who'll respond to questions and give advice and help, it's also a great place to discuss personal experiences in the game. Everyone is friendly, and the poor Dev team is going to have their work cut out for them with all the ideas being generated and shared. I'm really looking forward to the release of early access, and can't wait to play it then.

After writing this review I decided to look at some others, and found far too many bad comments, I feel a lot of people don't appreciate this is pre-early access, this is a tiny glimpse of the game mid development, the amount of change and work yet to happen before the game is near "finished" is incredible. There are mentions of perhaps a "patch" fixing the game, there's going to be a lot more than bug fixes and small patches coming out, and I think slating something like that is rather unfair.

Great game, good story, loads of good side missions, Geralt, nice graphics, balanced, a generally well done game. Also has an awesome sound track!

Awesome game, everything in game can be got without spending irl money, though it speeds it up. Recon best class.

Edit: Unfortunately my opinion has changed, the game is now plagued by the bots, they have ruined the game for me. They're really stupid, and will run out in the open brainlessly across the same field, via the same path, over and over and over. I can sit in a bush, and use every shot from my sniper, miss maybe 6 shots, go back for ammo, and repeat, almost for ever, and I will nearly never get found. I'm not 100% sure when they were added, but I came back one day and the game went from fun and competitive, to super boring and easy.
