It's an interesting take on a rougelite city builder that offers some variety through different elders and different types of buildings being rolled at the start of each run. While with proper build orders you (usually at least on base difficulty) won't fail a production check, failing said checks is very punishing, to the point where you often might as well just reset after failing once depending on which domain you get hit by.

Haven't gotten around to playing much of the higher difficulties due to the amount of resetting required (which has been slightly alleviated with the latest QoL updates), but a fun game nonetheless.

My main complaint would be that early game is essentially a fixed build order every single game, with any deviation effectively meaning you'll have to reset due to not having enough research velocity.

The best modern ARPG out there.
