Look, I'm the guy who thinks "shooter" is just a fancy word for "standing in a field while pixels scream at you." Extraction shooters? Please. I'd rather extract a tooth with pliers than drop into another Tarkov clone where every bush hides a tryhard with a golden potato launcher. But ARC Raiders? This sneaky sci-fi gem waltzed in, moonwalked over my prejudices, and left me giggling like a caffeinated schoolkid mid-firefight.
It's nearly perfect in execution—like if Swiss precision met a mad scientist's fever dream. Guns feel punchy without turning you into Rambo's less-coordinated cousin, and the CLANKER-infested post apocalyptic world makes me feel right at home. The maps are memorable with a lived in sci-fi atmosphere that makes you forget you're "just playing a game." ARC Raiders laughs in the face of AAA games like Battlefield 6 and wins.

Even when you lose (and hoo boy, my first raid ended with me yeeted off a cliff by a robo-spider), it doesn't feel like a kick in the shins. You limp back with scraps of loot, upgrades that actually stick, and that sweet, sweet progression dopamine hit. It's like the game pats you on the back and whispers, "Hey, idiot, try again—you almost had 'em."

Solo queue is a riot: pure, unadulterated chaos theater. I've roleplayed as a GAMER GIRL(since you can with AI voice changers as an in game option) yelling "Don't Shoot!" and "friendly"over voice chat while random players shuffle about doing their quests or interact with me. Co-op moments pop like popcorn—heartwarming, hilarious, and zero judgment when someone inevitably feeds the AI horde. Duos strike that Goldilocks balance: half the lobbies are "let's be besties, kill these clankers together and share the shiny bits," the other half devolve into polite backstabs that end in awkward "gg"s. And 3v3? Oh, sweet mercy, it's war. Full-throated, no-holds-barred apocalypse bowling—strike after glorious strike, with just enough fair-play mechanics to keep it from feeling like hacker bingo night. In fact, a really cool thing the devs did, any person caught hacking was banned and the players who were killed by hackers were given their loadouts back to them.

My heart belongs to Buried City, though. That map's a Swiss Army knife of versatility: tight alleys for sweaty ambushes, vast open zones for sniping from rooftops, and those cheeky platforming puzzles guarding the juiciest loot rooms. Picture this: you're vaulting or zip-lining across residential rooftops of house half covered with sand, heart pounding, only to slip and yeet your dignity into the dirt. Chef's kiss.

Devs, if you're reading this (and I hope you are, because who doesn't stalk reviews?), thank you for giving gamers a game that is just fun! We feel seen, and our time feels like it's being respected, and most importantly there is NO pay to win slop in the game, just payed cosmetics and we appreciate that! Please keep the content train chugging. More maps, more enemy types, more ways to make me love a genre I swore was dead to me. 10/10—would extract again! Highly recommend for anyone tired of shooters that take themselves way too seriously.

It's Mythic + from World of Warcraft without the rest of the MMO Grind. You log in, pick from one of the premade classes and you're in the town hub, you can then immediately queue for your first quickplay dungeon and start farming gear and talent levels. The game doesn't require leveling a toon, doing quests or a story, farming gear outside of doing dungeons, farming reputation, or anything else. You also have a Customized UI which you can change to your liking with everything you could ever want from a fully modded wow client. You can even import a UI setup from method or your favorite guide website and start playing without having to edit your UI. Built in damage meters, marker, target frames with interrupt rotations, and party/dungeon frames with click to heal. This game's only down side is that the Devs probably didn't expect it to be as popular as it's currently and there were long queues last night from everyone trying to get in and play. They fixed it quick. It's the current best game in the self proclaimed M.O.D.A(Multiplayer Online Dungeon Adventure) Genre.

This game is great! It's got some of the best features from vampire survivors, Soulstone survivors, and LoL swarm. WARNING very addictive! lol

This game has some things that make it better than PoE 1 but still has a very long boring campaign that EVERY character has to do without being able to skip or have some early mapping system. The endgame was total trash the mapping system it does have is made worse by some contrived tower buffing system that is really boring, tedious and plain not fun to engage with. There are a lot of 1 shot mechanics and very little ways to craft/customize gear compared to PoE 1 or Last Epoch. I can see a future where the game is good, but it's not there yet. At least it's a step in the right direction from PoE 1. There is very little quality of life in inventory management or sotrage without having to buy the really cool bank tabs with real money, so convinience is stuck behind a pay wall. I honestly wanna play it, cuz the builds are fun, but this game does not care about players feeling good or having fun, for that reason I think Last Epoch is a much better game when it comes to fun, quality fo life, and easy of leveling/power leveing alts, and campaign skips.

The game is also horrible for multiplayer, had to stop playing with my freind cuz we happened to go to separate islands in act 4 and i kept crashing cuz we ended up being out of sync with each other due to different quests states or something. so if you play with friends make sure you pick the same first island to sail to when you get to act 4.... the game doesn't warn you and if you don't know a friend already picked an island and you pick a different one, you're screwed!

This game has taken a bold path, it feels like my favorite parts of a good MMO and a good Survival game met for drinks started dating then got married and now had a baby. This baby is now breaking into the world of gaming and I believe it's going to leave it's mark.

The skill trees are detailed and expansive enough to customize in many different ways but still elegantly simple enough to be intuitive. It feels like you can make your own build and have fun without needing an optimized guide. The graphics are great, the game runs very smoothly and the story so far is awesome. Survival and combat gameplay tropes are all present in the best way. It feels like a breathing open world while still guiding you through the different zones and progress tiers. Multiplayer gameplay and guild base building is fun and it doesn't trip over itself. There is a good amount of cohesion to playing with friends.

My only concern is the servers filled up real fast and my group of friends is now divided between different Sietches. While the game does allow you to travel to a friend's Sietch, it is a lot more fun to be able to play together from the beginning. I'm hoping they open up more server capacity or new servers and let us transfer there to be able to have the same home Sietch.

As long as the developers are supported and allowed to iterate on this concept, I can see this game being top tier for years to come. One can say that they should be fearless...

“I must not fear. Fear is the mind-killer. Fear is the little-death that brings total obliteration. I will face my fear. I will permit it to pass over me and through me. And when it has gone past I will turn the inner eye to see its path. Where the fear has gone there will be nothing. Only I will remain.”

The ARPG with the MOST quality of life, feel good systems that make game play more fun. No BS punishing systems. Practically infinite storage tabs bought with in game gold, great crafting, THE BEST LOOT FILTER! Each skill has it's own talent tree and the passives can change your damage type or if it's single target or AoE for some skills. Other than which subclass you pick at lvl 25, everything else in the game talent wise can be respec for gold. ( WE need a unlearn all button). This is my favorite ARPG by far as far as game play and fun. Could have better graphics, and multiplayer sometimes laggs, but right now everyone and their mother is playing this game so i don't blame them lol.

Very fun Game play loop, it's like if ARK and Pokemon had a baby and that baby really liked MMORPGs and Survival Games. Devs are on point with bug fixes and patches, and the content is worth coming back to every patch! Multiplayer feels good, you can do everything solo or with your friends and server settings are very customizable. The graphics are cartoony with a bit of anime in the best way! The progression never feels grindy and each tier feels impactfull as power and quality of life improve. Boss fights and dungeons are fun. The map has plenty of flat areas perfect for making big bases and the pal AI has gotten better both around base crafting and in combat. BEST OF ALL, they don't have a greedy and predatory business model, so far you only pay for the game and that's it! it's NOT pay to win, no battlepass and no BS currency menus! This game is worth playing and the Devs are worth supporting, I'd put it up there with elden ring and Baulders Gate 3 as far as having good Devs.

liked the game and what the devs were doing with the lore... however ♥♥♥♥ sony for forcing themselves onto the game and ruining their rep. I am NOT making a playstation account, I bought it on steam, and the ps network login was not required on purchase. ♥♥♥♥ this bait and switch ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥.
