This is simply one of the best JRPGs of our time. The Legend of Heroes series destroys the Final Fantasy series in terms of story. I highly recommend all five currently translated games which I've easily spent over 1000 hours playing collectively. Definitely worth the price even while not on sale. If you can stomach the older style games with no voice overs and more of a pixel aesthetic I highly recommend starting with Trails in the Sky series before you play this. Its not needed as the story is not connected to this game's but Trails in the Sky does provide some extra world building and a great story of its own. Many characters from the original games are also referenced or seen here in Cold Steel.
