This game is a fun game and i'm glad it is hard; I have put around 30 hours into and completed the base game (levels 0-1 to 3-9) on the normal difficulty. I certainly struggled early on and when you get to the second series 2-0 onwards, it become very hard.

Here are some tips, particularly traps:

THE CHICKEN OF DEATH
-
If you lose a level 3 times, at the end of the map an egg will be floating. You can pick this up and drop it on the ground and a friendly NPC chicken will spawn that is very OP. Infinite health and owns most enemies. Honestly, I needed the chicken on most maps to complete the game. In theory, you can just start a level and not place any traps for a quick loss and repeat 3 times, then you will have the egg.
-You can pick up the Chicken and place near an enemy you want killing too. Try to avoid placing near water though as he falls in and slows down your potential DPS.

HUMAN CANNON
-
The best trap in the game, hands down. Yes, after you place more than one, the cost goes up slightly, but if you have 4-6 of them on pretty much all maps they become very overpowered. Some sneaky stuff:
-Once placed on the floor and it 'eats' an enemy, you can pause the game and move the trap so it faces into water or off the map and unpause the game so the enemy goes into water/off-map for an instant kill.

GOLD SNATCHER
-
This is a way to generate money. Don't be fooled by it's low damage, this is not what I use it for. Basically gains up to 100 Gold in base level and 225 Gold in upgraded level. Tips on how to use:
-Place 2-4 (or more) of them at the very start or close to enemy spawns. Only upgrade once they reach 100/100 Gold. Then, once upgrade reaches 225/225 Gold, sell and place a new once. = Rinse and repeat for nice Gold money throughout each map :)
-If you place them directly next to an ELECTRIC BOARD trap, they get an electric damage boost and are very overpowered.

REPEATING CROSSBOW
-
If you can place in a long line of sight, this is one of the best ranged weapons because it hits an enemy 3 times and pushes them back.
-Make sure you have clicked on the AUTO button (so it's orange) so it is always firing.
-You can combine with floor traps that are on AUTO in front of it so arrows gain damage boost like GAS SCARECROW or FIRE PIT.

SPRINGBOARD
-
Pretty much the MVP early game, especially in first 2 series if used correctly to drown enemies or push them off the map.
-Combine with BOXING ARM near certain choke points to send enemies back.

Then some general tips depending on where you are in the game.

EARLY GAME / Rounds 0-1 to 1-9: SPRINGBOAR is your friend to drown as much as possible; try to use these somehow on the Wild Stallions. Also, simple damage and try to combine traps for stacking abilities like the BOXING ARM and any floor trap like FLOOR SAWS (either version is fine.) Make sure you have something close to end of the map like an upgraded WALL SPIKE to take out stragglers that are usually flying.

MID GAME / Rounds 2-0 to 2-9: Definitely the hardest series in the game. The Dinosaur Rider is soo annoying. If you don't kill him fast, he will spawn more Dinosaurs. For bigger health enemies like Sobek's and Anubis don't even bother using resources on them and try to insta-kill them with the HUMAN CANNON*; they have soo much HP. For the final level with the boss, place loads of GOLD SNATCHERS and it will prevent him from moving forward. Use 6x HCs* in part-2 of the last level and use 2x MECHANICAL ARMS & 2x MOLE MALLETS on each rotating cube.

LATE GAME / Rounds 3-0 to 3-9: On these maps, pretty much all the enemies can swim so the SPRINGBOARD / HUMAN CANNON* becomes useless, but the HC* can still be good if used in long line of sights. When you unlock the DARK ENERGY SHREDDER, it becomes amazing and very high damage if placed in optimal area, combine with a GAS SCARECROW** just before it to slow enemies and then ELECTRIC BOARD right near it. WHIPPING VINE is the best floor damaging trap in the game, just be sure to place 2-4 early on and you can combine with HC* as it hits enemies in the air. Very late game, the PINBALL LAUNCHER can solo levels; leave on AUTO mode and combine with GS** or FIRE PIT (must be on AUTO) for easy wins as long as levels have no open spaces where the pinballs can fly out. Also take advantage of the COLD SWORDSMAN (3/4 of them should do) when you can as they are good, but be careful as your own Chicken will try to kill them so try to place your Chicken away from them. The AUTOMATED CANNON is also really good in those ice levels.

Lastly, here are some horrible traps that I have used but are just very very bad and wouldn't recommend using (In my opinion) as there are better options:
-FROST SPRITE
-STRAIGHT & CURVED PIPES (only good on 2 levels where you have to use them essentially to beat the map. You will know which ones.)
-HUNTING TRAP
-CURSED ABYSS (Worst trap in the game)
-FAN (Only good in difficult combos)
-GRAVITY FIELD (Only good on 1 level)
-EVIL TOTEM (Never used it so don't know.

It's a really good / fun game, so would recommend people don't give up. Some levels will take you 3/4 tries once you have the Chicken, but just keep trying.

Good luck! :)

Are you ready to witness an obese crazy ultra-extremist American country Christian leader VS a satanic sexualized metrosexual Marylin Manson looking motherf*cker from the occult?

If so, this is your game!

Number 1 is one of my favourite games and don't get me wrong, number 2 doesn't really jump up to the level of number 1, but it is still a good game. Quite the graphics upgrade too. Be sure to enjoy the scenery and music.

Conclusion:
Not as good as Outlast 1 or it's DLC, however it is still a nice play through. A little more chasing though in this one.

Advantages:
+Still a decent storyline and setting
+Great graphical upgrade from no.1
+Good audio
+Naked women

Disadvantages:
-A lot more chasing in this game and it received a lot of backlash for this at release
-No DLC has been brought out for it
-Dead naked women

Tip of the Review:
*Play the 'story mode' difficulty for your first time. The others turn the game into a running simulator and becomes very repetitive and boring and not enough time to appreciate the surrounding horrors.*

Gameplay Mechanics: 7/10
Story Mode: 8/10
Multiplayer-Mode: N/A
Graphics: 9/10

Best city builder on PC.

This game was soo addicting when I first played it. It was one of the few recent games in years where I actually couldn't wait to finish work to play.

Once you have built your first metropolis though, I wasn't sure what else to do! I guess you can start again on another piece of land, but I didn't want to leave my first masterpiece city behind D:

Conclusion:
Really enjoyable game and loads of fun hours to be spent playing it learning knew things. Take it slow and learn stuff properly.

Advantages:
+Soo much content in the base game
+Really detailed and looks amazing when your city is starting to come together
+Amazing mod community
+♫ Country Roads ♫

Disadvantages:
-The garbage and funeral services will become your epitome of hate and confusion for the game
-Some good DLC add-on's should be free. Charging £100+ for all the add on's just isn't cool
-The bus and train route/stop system can be hard to use

Tip of the Review:
*Use mods! You only need to use 2 or 3, but would class them as essential. These include automatic demolishing, infinite terrain alteration and access to all 25 pieces of land(if you have a decent PC.)*

Gameplay Mechanics: 9.5/10
Story Mode: N/A
Multiplayer-Mode: N/A

Great unique FPS that still keeps receiving support 4+ years after release.

I'm below average at this game because I was late to the party and your performance will scale with your mouse skill and map knowledge. Those 2 attributes alone matter more than anything else, regardless of class, weapon, attachments or even shoddy teammates; if you have good aim and know the spots, cameras, entry methods etc you will already do much better than the average peep.

I still enjoy it though and tons of characters to choose from and even has a ranked and unranked mode. I think this game is a million times better than CS:GO and don't understand why the basic ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ still play CS:GO so much compared to this.

Nevertheless, you will have to devote time to it to get on-par with better players and not an 'after work, sit down and play' kind of game, which means I don't have the time to invest in it.

Conclusion:
You're late to the party, but if you like CS:GO then you should like this. It is more technical and changes things up.

Advantages:
+Tons of classes
+Still receiving support years after release
+Scales with skill
+Amazing anti-cheat system
+Just 'feels' right

Disadvantages:
-Lots of time investment needed to #getgud
-Classes aren't unlocked straight away and are optional DLC or you have to grind
-No respawn modes which I would like to see as an avid COD player

Tip of the review:
*Don't buy the free/starter edition as the classes cost more to unlock even if you upgrade to the full version later. Just buy the full version when you have the £/$ for it.*
