This game is perfect and looks amazing on ultra widescreen, and it runs great on the Steam Deck as well.

When booting the game up for the first time, in some tutorial it tells you to drag something somewhere, but completely covers the thing you're trying to drag with the tutorial icons so it's hard to get at, and if you miss the initial que, it only tells you you're stuck there until you figure it out.

Alright. I gotta hand it to them. This is a good freaken game. So addicting. I can't put it down. Steam deck support is kinda ass in game mode, but if you run it from desktop mode and just make your joystick mouse a decent speed to control, the game plays great.

It was hard to understand what I was doing at first so I'll include a little guide for new players:
1. Each card has an element. Fire, water, etc. You hold 5 cards in your "deck". Some card effects require you to have those elements in your 5 card deck for the effect to activate.
2. You kill creatures in the dungeon for dust. You spend that dust on new cards from shopkeepers in the dungeon, or to fuse cards to get them to the next tier. The upgrades are rng. If you want a creature, you fuse 3 creatures, and if you want a support, you fuse 3 supports. If you randomize it, itll be random. If you fuse 3 of the same element, itll keep that element as well. You get two choices when you fuse.
3. When you lose a few runs and return back to town you should have white minerals saved up. Go to the craftsman to forge runes that you can take with you on runs. You can equip 3 of them and they're permenant. Sometimes you'll find rooms in the dungeon thatll upgrade your runes, and you can change them whenever you want during your run.
4. If you eff up and die in the dungeon but you think the run can be saved, go ahead and use those stones to revive! You'll earn so many when you do well anyway, you might as well spend a few to keep testing a run out.

Good luck in there. The game can be pretty tough, but it draws you back in so hard.

I've been playing on the Steam Deck, and it's as amazing as I would have hoped. I've got the fps cap set to 120 and I haven't had any lag or stutters yet. The story so far is great, the controls feel great, combat feels great. If you played the original Fantasy Life, you will NOT be disappointed.

Game feels kind of empty when you first start There's barely any customization (come on its 2025, you can have more than 3 hairstyles when creating a character), barely a working tutorial. The whole vending machine thing is weird, most crafting survival type games stsrt you off, ya know, crafting. Not grinding for fish and flowers to sell to a vending machine. Fishing animation seems kinda fast/jank. Not sure if it was just me, but there was no background music or ambient sounds. Not sure how this is version 1.0. Maybe I didnt give it a full chance, but sure didnt hook me from the start.

Early Access Review
Great game, even for early access. I can tell it's going places. Gets frequent updates and the devs listen.

Well, here we are, about to hit 1.0. I thought there would be more content in the release, but the game feels kinda bare bones. It just has no personality honestly. For a game that tries to play off the lore of these special heroes, the world you're playing in is just kind of boring. We only get like, 3 or 4 edgelord bosses who are just some dark lookin creatures? I was really looking forward to where this game was going, but it just doesn't pass the vibe check. And they're increasing the price to $25? You know what else is $25? Hades. Go get that game instead. After hundreds of hours, I still can't get enough of it, there's so much lore, so much to keep it feeling fresh even after playing so many runs. With Ravenswatch, I can't help but feel a little empty inside, like I wasted my night playing it afterwards and got nothing really out of it. Maybe there's just not enough variety for the character abilities to upgrade to? Until they seriously add more content, I can't imagine this game is worth $25. Maybe $14 at most currently.

This game does not start on the steam deck gaming mode. At least not right away. I tried running it normally, and then with proton. I went into desktop mode, and it starts with proton, and once you start it once in desktop mode, it should start in gaming mode just fine.

Cool game, I agree with the other positive reviews. Came in not expecting much but found a deep, enjoyable game.

Alright. So. If you ignore the skin transactions, and the internet needed to play locally, the game is fun. The skin shop works like Fall Guys where you can save up game money to buy skins, while some skins can only be bought with real money. While that is frowned upon, and believe me, I put up a big stink with my friends, I still had a lot of fun and laughs my first night playing the game.

Also, most of my playtime has been on a steam deck. Runs perfectly.
