Alright, so after some time and the positive reviews of the game, and how the community reacted to it, I have to disagree with the majority on how it is the perfect zombie game ... But I'll get to that later. The game is fun, and it is worth playing it, just not for the full price.

The graphics are of course amazing. No raytracing support (as of right now anyway), but I see that more as a positive rather than a negative, because the game doesn't really need it, it looks very good without it, runs very well even without upscaling methods, the atmosphere is excellent, and the map feels great.

(Spoilers for Dying Light 1 and its DLC's ahead, you have been warned!)
The story line in my books so far (haven't finished it just yet) feels... A bit emotionless. At least the character interactions feel that way. Crane is heavily battle hardened individual, being dropped in Harran in Dying Light 1,
fought with the GRE, fought with Rais, fought with The Mother in The Following DLC, survived the nuke and then was captured and experimented on for 13 years in an experimental lab. He breaks out and your Dying Light The Beast story begins.

The gameplay is what has been bothering me. The basics of gameplay, the parkour, combat, looting and exploring are good, but in needs some tweaks.
Crane, being the aforementioned battlehardened individual that he is, breaks out from the lab (with a little help), after 13 years of torment, rips through numerous zombies with his bare hands during his escape, rips off a metal plumbing pipe in his weaked state and uses it as a weapon, escapes, clears a whole monument from zombies and one heavily mutated zombie, extracts booster compound from said zombie which even further improves his physical and mental abilities, rests for several days to regain his strength... Only to lose all of his stamina in 4 swings with the same metal pipe he ripped off before, and your average looking, heavily decaing zombie gets up after all 4 successful hits made with said pipe as if he just slipped on ice... What?
Okay, maybe its a very light steel plumbing pipe, so lets try drop kicking the sons of a biscuits into oblivion. Oh? What is this? You lose... 50 ... % ...Of your stamina on just a single drop kick... Huh? Crane can run for quite some time, rests for 5 seconds, and can run again for the same amount of time, but cant swing a metal pipe for more than 4-5 swings, or do 2 drop kicks and he is out of stamina... After 3 days of resting and a booster injected into his body which improves his feats...
Alright, lets say I get it, and it was all based off of adrenaline when he busted out of the lab, he is getting old, and he used to be a guy that ran marathons in his youth... I can get behind it. Although he doesn't seem to have a problem hanging around for minutes on an edge of a roof, hanging only with his hands, but oh well.

Crane gets some experience, 2 more performance boosters in his system, gets a big ass fire axe and sledge hammer. Alright, lets see how those zombies fare now... Power attacks to the skull, every single one lands, zombie Joe falls to the ground 2-3 times. Crane, of course, is yet again out of stamina. But the zombie is surely de-aaaand his getting up again. How. HOW.
And thats not even counting that there are regions where you have recommended level to enter an area... Where the zombies tank even more of your hits for no particular reason, other than "You need to kill more zombies and advance the story to face me, peasant!" type of reason. At least make them distincly different, I don't know, have them wear riot armor, helmets, football/rugby sets or something...

Speaking of said rugby and football, every single one of those 13+ years of decaying old zombies must be playing it in their free time when nobody is watching, because their reaction time of attacking you when you sprint around them is astonishing. Adding to the fact that Crane is now a sexy bastard with a beast mode, every zombie wants to hug him to feel his abs, and bite his neck in the process for a good measure the second they see him.

Alright, maybe skills offer some advantages for Crane? Certainly, they do, except there's like... What, 12 skills to learn in each specific skill tree? There are 4 of those skill trees - Power, Agility, Survival and a separate Beast skill, which improves along with the story. And even then some of these skills are rather unimpressive, like less durability loss of weapons and vehicles, improved fuel economy, charged kick, power shot (which only applies to the bow...).

If you can get behind these aforementioned things, the game is really fun, because the moment you see it as a challenge instead of a badly designed piece of game, it becomes quite rewarding playing the game that way. But still, it requires some tweaks.

Since this was supposed to be a DLC to the second game at first (it even kept the game engine, or so I'm told), and people are reporting game time of about 10 hours, I would adjust the pricing to about 29,99€, and it would be a game well worth its price in my book. But, that is subjective, as I've noticed with the community, which sees it as perfect game as it is.

TLDR; A bit overpriced, maybe a bit flawed by design, but fun nonetheless, still worthy of the Dying Light title.

Compared to the web version certainly better, graphics are smoother, loading times are faster, and thanks to the steam now there are no downtimes (at least from my observation)
Give it a shot if you like the Web version, this is it,just better, and it is surprisingly small game.

Okay,to all people that are thinking "Should I download this game or just watch somebody else play it on the internet?"
Or to people that are just bored and are having bad times-

Don't go watch somebody else play it,and don't hesitate to download and play the game for yourself. It is an incredible experience to play it by yourself,or even with a friend.

This game contains a lot of dark themes that some people are having, and it will try to show you the world from those people's eyes, while showing you the point of overcoming those problems along the way.It will give you choices, and it will remember a lot of them.Be honest with each choice it gives you.

The Developer did an excellent job when creating this game.Even after you finish the game, there is still a lot of things that you may miss and it is definitely worth it to play more than one time.

It is a very unique game that will propably blow a lot of people's minds,if they are willing to take it seriously.
